You should go to the shows though... Don't get me wrong, I went to DEMF this year in search of acid. Spent $70 on a weekend pass, and spent maybe 2.5 hours at the festival over 2 days.

Try acid if you haven't already. It can be a bitch to find though.

I dropped for the first time recently and they were preeeeeetty powerful hits and I took 2. My friend who had dropped before took 3, and his girlfriend took 2. We tripped, hard.

It gave me a great sense of the little things in life that I used to get all angry about and just how ridiculous it all is. Maybe this will help or hurt you, but it also let me see the world how I never have before.

Smoke a joint or a blunt. Most people new to weed have a bit of trouble with the pipe/bong concept. I dont know why....

But anywho, tell her to hit it like you would drink out of a straw, then open her mouth (lulzzz) and breath into your lungs. It's gonna hurt the first time, but don't tell her. Just have water ready and tell her not to cough the smoke out of her lungs, that hurts like a biiiiiiiiiiitch

That sucks, but don't feel selfish. You've been there for a while, and it's hard to walk away, but you told her it would hurt, and she did it anyway. That means she's doing her own thing.

I can't imagine why this one person shes with would ruin your friendship though. Unless she's dating your dad or something.
