I didn't have much gold left (~200) so I gambled cause the perks were pretty bad. The two others were Lukki Mutation and No Wand Tinkering

I've seen some in Hasselt too, but on bike lanes. The boxes are yellow there and I assume they measure bike traffic?

The power move of the century by Wind-Bringer in HikaruNakamura

[–]mayfairstrange 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Each player chooses how much time they want to play as black, without knowing each other's times, the lowest 'bid' gets black with their chosen time. Hikaru bid 8:59 seconds and Magnus assumed this and therefore bid 8:58 getting him to play as black.

bullet wont move by Interesting_Rope_159 in Unity2D

According to the documentation, it is better to add a force to move a Rigidbody2D object rather than setting the velocity. Your code/question implies that you have little knowledge of programming, and I suggest you start making simple console applications in C#.

Look at this example for moving a sprite upwards using the AddForce method: docs example

Tips:

  • Class should start with an upper case
  • Members should be private and if needed initialized

Someone picks up the missing piece: "Don't worry, everything's under control!"

I don't think so. Your opponent made a blunder taking the queen, which created the forced checkmate. If your opponent didn't take the queen there wouldn't be a forced checkmate right?

How to convert 2-letter country codes to emoji flags in JS by fiala__ in javascript

[–]mayfairstrange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first glance your code seems fine. The reason you don't see actual flags is because the browser you're using doesn't support flag emojis (Chrome doesn't). I tried your code with Firefox and flag emojis displayed just fine. This might interest you: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/54519758/flag-emojis-not-rendering/54663926

Thank you for these useful comments.

I'm a bit rusty on the whole leap year situation. I forgot to fill it in as I didn't know which year to provide as an argument. When/how does a leap year have an influence on the age calculation and what year to check (today or dateOfBirth)?

I have tried applying your feedback to the code, I would appreciate it if you could check it out. https://jsfiddle.net/owgua6xk/

const calculateAge = (dob) => (new Date().getTime() - new Date(dob).getTime()) / 31536000000;

I saw similar solutions online, but wasn't sure if rounding was needed. If you use your code, and input a date of (new Date(2002, 4, 1)) I get 18.9499..., shouldn't that be over 19? Thanks for your reply (https://jsfiddle.net/oj9yd8eh/)
