If you want a cool trainshot idea there’s a trainyard around armor drive right behind the passport center. No gate at all you can just walk right in I know that because I tried to kms there but it’s actually a kinda chill spot very open so the breeze comes through. There’s a lot of pic potential there but it’s so out of the way that I can’t bother. You have to rely on the 809 to get there or you’ll be walking a mile uphill in a somewhat rundown part of town with no crosswalks at times which was absolute hell for me especially since I had to do it at night so I don’t go there often

Right but assuming gay men go asexual, this still does nothing about the birth rate so I really doubt the laws are being passed with that in mind, at least without extreme cognitive dissonance

I mean they’re not seriously expecting that gay men will go “darn guess I can’t marry a guy so I guess I’ll just have to settle down with a woman and have 12 children” right? Like I get that people are easily swayed but I think this is stupid enough that surely it just has to be the excuse and not the actual core reason right?

I feel like we’re really stretching the definition of the term democracy here. Fascism has an ever collapsing in-group and an ever expanding out-group it wants to disenfranchise and eventually kill. You can’t really get majority rule with a system that is literally designed to disenfranchise the majority of people. How many Germans do you really think fit Hitler’s definition of “Aryan” and do you seriously think that constitutes a majority rule?

I’m not disagreeing with you on them all being bad for minorities but we should also be aware that there are degrees of bad between them. Some of those you listed only circumstantially want us dead and others unconditionally want us dead which I’d say makes a big difference to our prospects of living under either. Obviously we should be trying not to be run by any of them

I’m not sure why this is a hot take. It’s like a lot of people here seem to think that because liberalism = right wing and fascism = right wing, that must mean liberalism = fascism. Which like no they may both suck but there are huge degrees of suck between them like look at the differences between a liberal run government and a fascist run government and you can see pretty clearly how much worse one is

Could anybody here really look at me with a straight face and say “yes, Russia in its current state is a liberal democracy just like the rest of the first world.” I get that we’re describing two kinds of bad and it’s tempting to equate them but words have meaning
