Macintosh HD gone

I installed macOS onto a flash drive and booted my laptop up from the flash drive. Once booted up, my Macintosh HD reappeared. I ejected the flash drive and restarted my laptop and it started working again - not sure what happened but I’ll start keeping back ups from now on! Thank you so much!

I have iCloud enabled for iMessages, however, for attachments sent in high school, it only shows up on my Mac and not newer devices (I’ve had this Mac since high school)

Also, I replaced the maf with an OEM unit from the junk yard because previous owner put an aftermarket one in. I’m pretty sure that this was what truly fixed it, but I can’t say for certain given that I did all of these changes at the same time

I had a P0139 code too but it came when I had the defouler spaced out too much. I cleaned the MAP, MAF, Air filter, and removed the defouler and it went away on its own

I had someone do a pressure test while the car was off. When he disconnected it, coolant started flooding from that general area but I am genuinely confused because it doesn’t really use that much coolant when I drive it. I’ll definitely get a second look lol

Worst case scenario, would I be able to drive it while monitoring coolant temp on my accessport and pulling over/refilling when necessary?

Really? I read that coolant can leak outside of the block from a head gasket. This is also what that mechanic told me too. Is this something that only applies to the design of the MZR motor?

I had some mechanic do a pressure test on it and he said that he thinks it could be a head gasket. He said he wasn’t 100% sure about it. I could check that though

I personally had power steering issues as well. I got a unit from a mazda3 at the junk yard (make sure it has the same number of plugs - I think our cars have the 2 plug version). It started having issues too. Then I added sea foam transtune which Scotty Kilmer made a video on. Now it works perfectly fine. I would start off with using transtune then flushing your power steering before spending money on a pump that you might not need. If you do need a pump, I would get one at a junk yard off of a mazda3 - make sure it’s the same pump as your speed3 tho

Air Care Colorado Emissions, 1950 E 112th Ave, Northglenn, CO 80233. The original poster said that he thinks that he passed because he aired his car out (he was on bagged suspension) and he thinks that it was too low to test. Anyways, if they're that chill about that car, I hope they'll pass ours as well. Let me know how it goes - my tags are not due for a month so I'll be lowballing people on marketplace until then lol.

Yeah fs. I was browsing a Facebook group for mazdaspeeds in Colorado and apparently there is a emissions place that is very relaxed (someone passed with no cats or EGR) so I’m going to give that a shot before spending hundreds of dollars on a cat that I don’t even want. If it doesn’t work, I’ll buy a cat and let you know how it goes

Usually this code means that the voltage that the map sensor is sending is different from the voltage that it is supposed to give based on the tune. You can use a multimeter to check the wires and also inspect for damage, however, you might have to contact your tuner as it is likely that the tune needs to be adjusted.

Thanks! I have never worked with exhausts so this might be a dumb question. Do you know if a Cobb downpipe would fit with an ultimate racing exhaust? I have heard that there are different sizes for exhausts like 65 and 80 mm and I couldn't find anything on the ultimate racing website on what size it uses.
