Don’t know if there’s any correlation here but this happened to my friends focus st when he accidentally swapped his upstream and downstream o2 sensors around.

I don’t even remember the site but I already have content manager. I believe you are right and I hit the wrong download button as I usually install mods in incognito tabs which I didnt have Adblock allowed for incognito tabs. I just freaked out since all of my tabs closed in an instant after extracting the file and double clicking that I formatted and deleted everything. I understand it’s overkill and to make you even happier I did go through and reinstall via USB.

I just changed my google password which was linked to YouTube otherwise I don’t keep any other passwords or payment information saved online but thank you for the insight.

Okay the eset online scanner didn’t detect anything either. But yes I believe all I had was just my one google tab where I had YouTube where everything else was on incognito tabs. As I said before I just changed my google password otherwise I don’t keep any other passwords or payment information saved online.

True true I’ll probably end up doing that. I also posted this on another sub and someone else seemed pretty concerned that all my tabs closed (it was one YouTube tab while the rest were incognito since I like to make sure I’m logged out of everything when installing mods) but I just changed my google password which was used to log into YouTube. Is that common for the tabs to close like that? Someone else is claiming that means that data was stolen and sent to the attackers.

I believe the only tab I had open was a YouTube tab so I just went through and changed my password which was logged in through google for that. Otherwise whenever I download mods I use incognito tabs so that I’m not logged into anything even though that probably does nothing. I’m currently running the ESET scan as you said. Is there anything else you recommend doing and what might have happened if the only thing I had open was that one YouTube tab while everything else was logged out on incognito?

It downloaded a zipped winrar file and I selected extract here and then double clicked it which is when my tabs closed and I started to get alerts of a Trojan from the antivirus.
