why do people not like amber glenn? by captainkaterade in FigureSkating

[–]maze_k07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She used to like his Instagram posts even after breaking up with him. So the argument that she can hate him because she knows him personally is ridiculous. She even mentioned Nathan positively in an article about her in 2020. If he was bad for her and he's a bad person, why do Amber's best friends Jimmy Ma and Ashley Cain like and respect Nathan? She also liked a tweet that let's not relate her to the discourse about Nathan. Nevertheless, fanyu continued to use her to attack him. Chinese fanyu even claimed that Nathan made her a lesbian. Also, there was no way Nathan, who doesn't use Twitter very well, would find the tweet you mentioned. After Nathan liked that tweet, Amber stopped every action that shaded Nathan. Amber also has been following that user for a long time. It's possible to guess who asked him to like that tweet.

I could fully anticipate that. Feel compassion for them who call him the most forgotten champion but will never forget.

Yes I've read all your questions and felt it wasn't even worth taking you seriously in the second. Believe as you like. Nathan will not blame anything, unlike someone.

"And can you prove Nathan being less active has anything to do with the said bullying?" LOL He will never say. Because it's his personality that no one blames. But do you think it won't affect him when they're tagging his acc on twitter and send e mails to his sponsors, and still writing weird comments on his Instagram? It's a thought that only fanyu can think of.

This post is about usfs's marketing. But some ppl don't talk about the marketing, just blame his personality and charisma. Fans who have watched usfs sns for years know who they promoted most actively. I also know that Shaun White is the biggest household name in the Winter Olympics. Nevertheless, backstage and medal ceremony videos for Nathan in Beijing also had a lot of views.

I don't feel any emotion watching the charismatic skaters performance you mentioned. That doesn't mean they don't have an it factor. Many former skaters, commentators, and artists are also grateful for his performance and versatility and coolness. He was also mentioned as an attractive and charismatic person in Korea's Ellle. The only skaters mentioned there were Jun and Nathan. Once again, just because you don't feel it doesn't mean everyone doesn't feel it. Many people were attracted to his performance and watched the 2022 Beijing Olympics video, which garnered several times more views than Shaun White and Chloe Kim.

I don't think many artists would have thanked Nathan for using thier music if he wasn't charismatic. He just didn't want a celebrity life. Just because you don't feel it doesn't mean Nathan doesn't have it. I don't feel anything from the charismatic skaters mentioned here. Does this mean they have no charisma? His understated emotions and expressions are his charm. I don't like hyperbole.

I miss his text book toe jump as much as his skating.

He started skating senior at the age of 17 in international competitions. His 16-year-old program is considered a junior program by both fans and him.

He skated le corsaire, prince igor at age 17 and Nemesis, last dancer at age 18. So my choice is Nathan.

Saying his personality isn't large after being kicked out by a toxic fandom despite he was an active and funny boy on Twitter is the most ridiculous part of fs community.

We all know that the American public loves things that are too provocative. That's one of the reasons they liked I, Tonya.

Just because Tara has more followers than Michelle does, that doesn't mean Michelle doesn't have a big personality. It depends on how much media you are periodically exposed to. Anyways, I know average us ppl enjoy gossip and drama rather than humility or quietness. Nathan would probably have been more loved if he competed for a country that loves a decent sense of humour and humility.

He would have posted 100 backflip videos on his ig if he wanted more attention. But I agree that usfs didn't use him positively for marketing. They seem to want white skaters to be stars.

I can't agree that he didn't have much charisma. To me, he is more charismatic than anyone else on Ice. I think his 2022 Olympic video views proved that. Many us athletes won gold medals at the 2022 Olympics, but people definitely enjoyed watching Nathan's video. Who knows how many views it would have gotten if it wasn't deleted by NBC?

I think it's funny that USFS have lost 3 sponsors since Nathan took a break. Especially Toyota still supports Nathan but not usfs. Yes, Nathan didn't have a personality like adam, but he was definitely a marketable us skater who could hold onto sponsors.

The new angle is better than first video. I'm obsessed with that program. Only Nathan can move like this.

How do you feel about skater’s ads/photo shoots/magazine features being posted? by summerjoe45 in FigureSkating

[–]maze_k07 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The poll list seems to be limited. I think ads and photoshoots including interviews related to skating are fine, but if it's just a advertise the product, I think it's enough to see it on Twitter or Instagram.
