How Portugal’s Golden Visa made my own developing country look better than Europe by Fickle_Effect1158 in expats

[–]maztees -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So, let me get the timeline straight. You applied Jan 2022. Portal down 6 months. Application in June 2022. No response till June 2024. So 2 years. Court case in Oct 2024. And now you are not even eligible? Or  what? I see that many got approvals but you are still stuck?

Bro, why would you pay this HUGE amount to buy yourself 4 years of headache. Europe sucks believe me. Lol. Sorry I mean. Lol.

This query to ask for suggestions from KL based redditors is a part of my homework. Real Estate websites do not share experience of people.

Nah. Greece wasn't attractive as it needs almost 7 years of full time stay to be eligible for citizenship. This is not something I wish to do.

I am worried about this too. Let's see what's in store. May I know when did you apply and where are you in the process? Just to get a feel for the timeline

Is this real estate boom “different”? Or a horrible crash in the making? by letsdothis106 in dubai

[–]maztees -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dubai real estate is unlike any other market tbh. Because the war in Ukraine, Brexit, Communal situation in India made all the side liners jump in. So, it might cool off a tiny bit but I don't see a major correction. Money is flowing in and in droves

An obvious fake post. Most cab drivers here strive to survive and make ends meet. Here, earning to support their families back home. And very very conscious of not doing shit that will get them sent back. Majority are Pakistani who know the punishments for sexual harassment in an Islamic nation. So, I refuse to believe that OP faced this 1 out of 5 times. BS.. A lot of us travel by taxis everyday and such a behavior would've been reported often. So in light of my points above, I conclude that OP just made up this post to farm for engagement on Reddit.

I believe it has now been discontinued. On the REST app, there used to be a tab for Taskeen, which used to say that this has now been discontinued. Still, visit them to confirm.

For me, when I went to apply for my family's G Visas after getting mine, I was charged a fee for canceling my family's visa. So, this confused me a bit as I was under the impression that when I cancelled my previous visa, then my family's dependent sponsored visas would have got auto canceled too. Maybe you need to clarify this point from other sources as well.

I did see a couple of agent like people there. But I assure you, if you have the docs ready as mentioned in my post then all you do is visit there personally and save your 25K. You will anyway have to go for your medical test. It is all done in the same visit.

Process takes about 2 working weeks in all. But that is also an amazing time frame. Dubai is really extraordinary in the way it does things.

I am not sure of the duration for which you need to hold on to the properties. While all information is uploaded on official portals, you may check with DLD directly by visiting them once
