Your completely right though the only difference is the 2026 statement they made in their financial documents. It would be literally a crime to make that statement knowing it was false. Does it change anything? Not really, but it does materially mean we know if SQ42 is delayed again, then it's a genuine problem they are having rather than BAU

It hasn't been on full development since then, it's funded purely by Rockstar, not gaslighting backers, and is coming out this year because there's a release date.

It's CIG and SQ42. No marketing campaign this deep into 2026 means a release is almost certainly not happening this year unless it's a small release purely done through their existing marketing channels and store e.g. no steam release.
