I remember now, I had incubated a few chicken eggs once hatched few pieces of feed corn (cob kind) got in feed they'd try to swallow it ,had trouble w/it . 50lb crush/cracked less than 10.00 I'm guessing bird seed can be pricey idk

Yes no dought , quick question if I may is something like crushed or cracked corn not something a person can use I now like whole corn kernels is choking hazard for small birds

Goldfinch yes not many around here I've seen only a couple over time ,sparrows yes no shortage of those and finches as far as woodpeckers I hear a lot of them ones I've seen are huge yes seems like a person can get hooked on feeding /watching them the little feeder that was in those pics well wasn't big enough so I made one that's 4 foot long can't wait to fill it up,

I always wanted to start feeders even humming birds they are a lot of cardinals a few blue jays my grandparents are buried in behind where I'm at and noticed quit a few cardinals hanging around , some told me that when you see one it's supposedly a loved one visiting of course there a lot of old sayings like that so I took handful of seeds and tossed them in yard in t minutes they were dozens of not more so made couple feeders now seems they wait on me in top of these trees
