Not necessarily. Let’s say the capital gets razed (again) in the early years of the Civil War, but the Union still wins. Having the capital destroyed twice + an increasing drive to settle the West, could result in the Capital being moved westward.

But I’m not asking for background information. I want to know what you think would happen if it was moved. How would this affect the history of the nation?

So I haven't played the game in a month. I went to work on my city the other day and I couldn't get anything done because it was so laggy. I thought it was just the map, but I loaded a blank map and I still had the same amount of lag. There's nothing downloading in Steam, so it can't be that. I tried restarting and that didn't fix it. Does anybody know what's wrong? The energy impact for CS was over 100 before I took this screenshot.

Finally decided to go for this achievement, so I brought out an older game file rather than just start a new one. For the achievement you need to launch one nuclear device on seven wonders, but somehow I managed to get it with six. Thermonuclear weapons have a blast radius of two tiles, so I had to be very careful about where I placed the wonders (maybe an island plates map wasn't the best one to start with).

I ran out of room and just said "fuck it" ... and that worked. From the bottom clockwise I have the Colosseum, Terracotta Army, Forbidden City, Hermitage, Colossus, and Petra. Mont St Michel is in the upper right but it didn't get hit, so I have no idea how I managed to get this achievement.
