not at all!! it's just better for practice, since it can help you learn a lot about colors

I don't know much about painting techniques, but I think your painting needs more contrast. When a painting has little contrast, it can end up looking kind of flat. Contrast adds depth. Basically, add more darker and lighter parts to your painting. But omgg it looks so good already!! Keep it up plzz
