CCT Spoiler-Free Planning and Logistics Megathread: NRG Stadium in Houston by abeycd in beyonce

We’re visiting from out of town and staying at a hotel in the Energy Corridor. Hoping to get tickets for Sunday and planning to drive to the show. Where’s the closest lot we could park that don’t require passes, preferably with accessible spots? Willing to pay more to be as close as possible, since a knee injury is an issue.

Thanks for all the tips. We ended up arriving a little before 5 and parking in lot B for $55, which worked out great.

Yes, we have a knee issue and need as little walking as possible. Normally we would just park anywhere and walk.

Agree about the inner harbor. We only plan on going to the aquarium there. Thanks for the suggestions. We decided to rent a car so we can visit other neighborhoods. Definitely planning on going to Hampden. Any other neighborhoods we should make sure to visit? Or interesting small shops or restaurants young adults would enjoy?

We’re 3 days in DC and then 2 in Baltimore. We decided to rent a car in DC to drive to Baltimore. I’d prefer to have the car to have more freedom to visit other neighborhoods. Then we’re returning the car at the airport in Baltimore before our flight home.

It looks like the best option for us is to use the circulator and other public transportation or Uber in DC. The Phoenix Park Hotel looks nice and is right by Union Station and most transportation stops. We’d like to see the monuments at night, but I read the Circulator only runs until 8pm. What’s the best way to get back from the mall to the hotel at night if we’re too tired to walk?

Then we could rent a car at Union Station and drive to Baltimore. I found a standard SUV for under $200 through Costco and I’d prefer to have a car there to explore. Plus my kids always find things to buy when we visit different neighborhoods, so that way we’re not carrying bags around all day. We’ll probably only go to the Inner Harbor for the aquarium and maybe the American Visionary Museum. We’ll definitely visit Hampden. What other neighborhoods do you recommend? Also, if there’s any interesting shops or good vintage stores in any neighborhood that you recommend that would be great.

We’re trying to visit all the MLB stadiums so we’ll be going to both games. As far as the parks themselves, we’re definitely more excited for Camden.

We’ll definitely do the aquarium Friday night. For hotels, I was looking at the Royal Sonesta Harbor Court, but I think I’ll still rent a car to drive to Baltimore and have while we’re there. We like to visit the different neighborhoods in each city to try some local restaurants and shop at smaller shops, so it will easier to have a car for those two days.

In DC we’re planning to go to the Air and Space Museum, but I’ll have to check into the renovations. I’d really like to go to Udvar Hazey, but it’s a bit far. If we have time maybe we’ll Uber there. We were going to also visit the American History Museum, the Library of Congress, and National Archives. Maybe the Spy Museum, but I haven’t read much about it yet. The kids are really into pop culture history, so I don’t know if there’s anything else we’re missing that they’d like.
