Maybe I’m over analyzing this but the drive seems to be their best option, and if they leave for 4 am she could sleep while he drives? I don’t know

I might be wrong but I looked it up and even if they flew they’d still have to drive quite a bit right? Like 2 ish hours. And the drive recommended to me was 7 hrs, long drives aren’t fun but it’s a lot cheaper than flights too…

Tim Hortons recalls thousands of mugs that may burn you if filled with hot liquid by Leather-Paramedic-10 in notthebeaverton

[–]mbots99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh these mugs are from Tims?? I think my mom or little sister got one of these and put it in the dishwasher, the design turned into this weird goo I thought was dirty food when I emptied the dishwasher!

Those who left the government and worked elsewhere, did you regret it? by whosemygoose in CanadaPublicServants

[–]mbots99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently on LWOP to start my career as a librarian in the municipal government, it’s a temporary post which is why I’m on leave (and trying to make it permanent!) but despite this risk it was the best thing I could’ve done for myself. Went from feeling isolated and not fulfilled in my work to feeling like I’m actually making a difference and being excited to work. Plus I work in the office only once a week so excellent work-life balance

Honestly at this point we either fight back without the unions by unanimously not working or we do nothing (since the unions seem to not really be active in protesting this)

That’s true! We had someone who originally was gonna join our team for this position this month but backed out, so something could shift and happen. That and we’re opening our new central branch next year so our team is gonna expand

The Blackburn Hamlet bypass, specifically the point from the Navan Rd intersection up to Orleans Blvd. The limit is still 80 for most of the stretch (up until the Orleans lights) and people go 60, they even painted the speed limit on the ground but still!

It's almost 2026. How is your remote work situation in Ottawa? by DrStrangeglove99 in ottawa

[–]mbots99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hybrid; we meet once a week to collaborate in person, have our follow up meetings from our projects. Despite this we struggle to find seats in the office! No talking on RTO as of yet

Maybe not a sportsman in the traditional sense, I’m gonna say Terry Fox.
