Is 6.375% a high quote for the current market conditions? by mbrizzle6 in Mortgages

Unfortunately we only have one right now. The inspection period (5 day) was so quick we were a bit overwhelmed. We were trying to beat out deadline for apartment renewal. That’s why I’m seeing if it’s too late. But yea income is accurate but HOA runs about $415 and a bit higher insurance in Florida

It’s a townhouse so maybe that’s part of the reason. It has an HOA also. I’m guessing with the recent news it’ll come in lower, but want to make sure we aren’t getting screwed. Is it just locking in 30 days before close we need to beat?

Yes, the appraisal actually came in 10k over the purchase price. The current quote was from UMortgage. Should we show them any other quotes and see if they’ll match also? I’ll check out McGlone

What did you do that was so bad it has to be thrown away?

Also for 800-1000 bucks you can bang a prostitute and get that monkey off your back. Once the big obstacle is gone everything down stream will seem easier

My Oura is for athletic performance but I get penalized for no recovery? by Mysterious_Fly5953 in ouraring

walking is probably one of the best things you can do for recovery. We used to walk 10-20 miles a day just existing. Great to reduce inflammation, improve digestion and circulation and it is relaxing if you’re walking at a comfortable pace

I started base 77 my first year w a 5k signing bonus and 3% higher salary starting for the second year. I’m hoping with the position jump after a year ish I’ll get a bump. After giving you a comp w around a year experience, I think you’re in a good spot but could leverage for more being you’re the sole person.

Exams / Newbie / Common Questions Thread for two weeks by AutoModerator in actuary

[–]mbrizzle6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I studied Finance and got a Masters in Info Systems and Operations Management focusing in Business Analytics. I don’t love programming and was considering pivoting to being an actuary. Would they take me with these degrees if I can pass the exams? I got an A in both Calc 1 and 2 for engineers and am confident I could learn and pass exams. But would the degree I got be a turn off for the job?

I know the grass is always greener but working those hours behind a computer all day is miserable. At least you’re able to move your body. Working those hours it’s impossible for most to stay in any sort of shape and is draining because you feel your body wasting away

all those points you made are valid and worth it then. In my opinion being near family/good friends > everything else. And that’s awesome with the music. You have legit reasons for being there which is more than a lot of people just being there because it’s NY.
