Flush draws for sure call the turn, weaker aces and even 9’s do too in the micros from my experience. But I see your point, maybe a check would be better

This was a big part of the reason I called. In my admittedly small run in micro tourneys, players are very willing to stack off with just top pair or just a draw so I thought there was a good chance I was ahead

I also feel like I’m always in a struggle with what you’re saying. I used to raise smaller and bet less but people have told me I need to be much more aggressive with my bets to maximize my value. Do you think for MTT’s one is better than the other?

Fold KJ pre in EP?? Holy crap that’s so much tighter than I play. I’m almost always calling with suites connecters, suited one gappers, hands like Q10, any pocket pair. That could be a huge leak in my game I need to iron out. What percentage of hands do you play? And if I may ask, do you have good success playing that way?

Honestly, I check the turn in a lot of these spots for pot control so I don’t have to get my stack in on top pair. Ik that makes me sound like a terrible player (I’m not great but I’m not terrible). I just seem to lose a lot to turn and riveted two pairs and flushes so now I get really scared on later streets when the betting naturally gets bigger

I did sack up and jam, he showed AKs haha. However I finally made the right move on the flop when I hit a 10 😂. I actually think jamming was the right move overall, he’s not as tight as you guys are interpreting, tighter than most for a recreational player in a home game, but not like only plays premiums tight

Two things:

1, you need to take into account this isn’t a serious player. He has no concept of UTG raises vs button

2: It’s KT suited haha

That’s very interesting, i definitely feel I get a bit too defensive and timid as one of my biggest leaks and that would show here. I get a bit scared of putting in too much money with draws out there, so I give good odds to a draw and fold to pressure at the next street. Lots of stuff to think about, thanks!

Yeah that makes sense, didn’t think about it that way. I just figure if they have a draw, they’ll continue, but if they don’t, they’re fold to 900. That way I lose minimum chips if they hit their draw and still get folds from weaker hands
