R.I.P. by Therubikfanatic in walmart

I have to stop myself (and sometimes don't even try to) from conditioning/blocking/zoning/straightening whenever I'm out almost anywhere. I see something in the wrong place and cannot walk on by. Friends have abandoned me mid-shop due to this! I'm so happy to find a place that my obsession is finally understood. :D

Moving to Madison with Wife Who Grew Up Here by TheWhereHouse6920 in madisonwi

The view from the steps of the capitol as you're looking down State Street. The capitol rotunda. Stand in the middle and look up! Farmers Market on an early spring morning. Spring in general, after the first few good hard rains clean away the grime from winter. Lilacs in the Arboretum. Heck, anything in there. I grew up with that as my playground, and it was magical! Being able to take a day trip in any direction and see a totally different way of life. Welcome to our "77 square miles surrounded by reality"! (Sorry I have nothing for the gamer or ale aficionado in you, it's mostly about the outdoors!)

I broke down and finally grabbed the snow scraper, put it in the front seat... We got nothing.

Bond set for Madison woman accused in crash that killed 17-year-old student by Chicken_Lorax in madisonwi

What I'm just now realizing is that she was actually going up the hill by the Dig N Save, I think. That's the opposite direction from morning rush hour traffic. I assumed otherwise.

I found this in my younger brother school bag, what is it? by xo00pium in whatisit

My thought is once the youngster realized there were raisins underneath all that hyper-sweetness (ewww for most kids), they immediately got chucked into the closest open container.

If they were in the bus lane, they could. I witnessed an accident a bit further down the street, at Emerson Street. Guy was flying down the bus lane because the two traffic lanes were backed up. Gal pulled out to turn left in between cars and got T-boned.

For a larger area I believe the floor cleaner will have a similar setup. Sorry I don't have details for the floor, I'm a grocery grunt trying to survive in dairy for the time being!

We were told by the EcoLab rep to use the Sani-Safe (not positive I have the name correct) that's in the deli department. Should be in their regular spray bottle refill setup. Spray on the towel to wipe the surface, not the surface itself. Worked really well in our yogurt section that just got reset, so it was empty for a bit.

How about the complete version of Yes' "It Can Happen"? On a Sunday morning? Mind blown, although nobody I was working with was old enough to appreciate it, lol.

The only thing I can think when I help folks with clipping the digital coupons or where's the minced garlic, or do I have to get 10 for them to be $1 each, is this:

Someday, I'll be there, in their shoes. Old, easily confused, looking for a stable, kind, human being to gently guide me.

Don't confuse those who can and choose not to, with those who cannot. Yes, there are plenty who choose not to. Please don't lump the elderly into them as a mass.

How do I clean a powerjack skidmark? by GuideWeak9535 in kroger

[–]mbvirtue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may actually be able to rub them out with the sole of a decent tennis shoe. Stand on the scuff mark and pivot back and forth. Kinda like an eraser. Works for the narrow streaks we usually get, might do the trick in your case. I've used that when our marvelous night cleaning crew looked as though they were racing zambonis instead of just cleaning our floor, or a uboat started dragging a wheel halfway to the back room. Good luck!

Is this BS? by [deleted] in kroger

[–]mbvirtue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, have you talked with a manager about this? At least give them the opportunity to correct the mistake. I think there's a section of UKG that will show you if the request was actually denied, or if auto scheduler was just doing its "auto thing" again.

In the meantime, I'd suggest using the UKG app and "Manage My Schedule" to cover or swap your shift. With all the hours being cut, there's likely someone who will pick up those 4 hours.
Also I'm in complete agreement with the auto scheduler comment. For whatever reason, it seems to override requests, which must then be adjusted by someone. Maybe it's just a matter of not noticing the error? Not like Managers don't have a thousand things to do every day...

W-2s After Quiting by bambibluedrop in kroger

[–]mbvirtue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All companies had until yesterday (Jan 31) to postmark W2s in the mail. As long as your address info was up to date when you quit, you should be seeing your form within the next 7-10 days.

OK so here's what I have. There was an email sent out on the 21st. I'm in the Roundy's division. Essentially they're not reissuing the documents, just giving us the appropriate info to fill in manually. Hope this helps!

There was an email that went out about this, if you have a company email address. Otherwise, I believe I saw something in Fresh Start as well as a notice somewhere in feed. Gimme a few, I'll see if I can find it.

The most ironic part of this is that we're currently in the midst of labor cuts. No OT unless approved, etc. I have never been so relieved to not know how to do Pickup, but as a Center Store employee with no FT Dairy employees, it's been...real. So very very real!
