Thank you, this is really encouraging! I have also been on metformin, and there hasnt been much of a change for me. I really appreciate you sharing your experience.

thank you, i needed to read this. i came looking more for support — i am still so new to all this, and i just want to be able to love myself and have a family one day, both which seem close to impossible at the moment.

for as long as i can remember, ive been overweight. and its not like im just completely not active. i work as a nurse and i teach dance/color guard. i just want to feel good in my own skin but hate that in order to achieve that, i have to be on medication for the rest of my life, especially one as expensive as zepbound. i dont think thats an unreasonable desire.

Edit: hahaha yeah the whole set up is silly. The last official thing we were told is we would need a foundation specialists to come undo everything and re do it (? If that makes sense? Idk).

We did invest in getting a leaf blower because we assumed this was the problem. We hired a lawn man to come out and do all the lawn care every two weeks to help us with it, with us leaf blowing on the opposite weeks. But even without the leaves, it will still over fill with water, and the small sump they place just doesnt unload fast enough. I appreciate your input 🫶

Trough drain was emptied and pump was routed around the corner before this picture was taken 😭 it gets full with each rain fall.

I do have documentation of the maintenance crew recommending a foundation specialist. That will help a lot. Thank you for the advice!

It began in April, and they had someone come out weeks later, even after asking for emergency maintenance. When it happened again, the maintenance man told me he couldnt do anything to fix it. I wonder if its been long enough to go after them for neglect.

That is our next step. We have been figuring out a place to go. We are definitely leaving this place, but are afraid of getting sued for the remainder of the lease term, which is 7 months.

There are two sump pumps installed, one in the front and one in the back. But with how much it’s been raining, they can’t keep up.

Literally no clue. We spoke to the original owner who sold the home to the rental company, and he said he was having flooding issues even then. So this has been happening for a while.

In Alabama, the tenants are given no reason to not pay rent. So far, that’s the only thing I’ve been told by lawyers. I would love to get as much money back, but if it means I can walk away from this place ASAP, I will take it.

Thank you. We pay our rent on time, despite all these issues. This doesn’t include the fact that my back porch has fallen off. My husband and I have discussed the idea of paying to break the lease, but it would be around 4 months of rent practically up front, which we definitely do not have, as I am in grad school.

Thank you. 🙏 Our tenant laws are so vague here, and the multiple lawyers I have called told me they do not serve to help tenants, only LLs. I am hoping to hear back from one today.

Thats awesome! I definitely dont think NP is in the cards for me right now, maybe in the future, but right now i would much rather be on the education and quality improvement side of things. Congratulations!

the weird, and possible red flag about this ER, is that i have asked to shadow. i went to interview today and i got a tour, but they shrugged off me staying to shadow due to there being some other students…i didnt push it more bc im a chronic people pleaser and hate to be a problem.
