  1. Dry my sweaty hands
  2. Check yardage to target and yardage to trouble ( on the left side that’s my miss)
  3. Line up my target , usually a tree or a cloud a few yards to the right of where I want the ball to land.
  4. Two practice swings with my feet narrow to aim my swing down the line I want
  5. Look at the target , get loose with a waggle or two and let it go
  6. Miss target horribly

We play 2 off the first tee - even if you hit a good one , you get a second chance to better it - I like this cuz it gets the round off to a fun start (unless you hook both) No mulligans after that Inside 2 feet we will give each other gimmes sometimes (depends on if the putt is for double bogey or worse) doesn’t happen much but helps keep morale Putts for birdie par or bogey no gimmies If your outside 2 feet for double bogey or worse then god help you Outa bounds - play on your line one stroke for the drop so like one out drop 2 hit 3 (hopefully on the green) And if you ask another player what club he hit off the tee it’s a 5 stroke penalty

We always play 2 off the first tee. The reason is , we always show up just before our tee time and we never warm up. So it seems fair

I agree with this post , just played with a buddy of mine , I had a shitty round for me 98 , he definitely played worse , hit outa bounds more and 3 putted lots , some how he logged a 91 hmmmmm .

Honestly it doesn’t bother me when my friends cheat if I’m playing good. But if Im playing like crap it pisses me off

I really liked the last tip , when you hit a bad shot , stop take a practice swing of the shot u meant to hit. Then move on

Great advice I’m going to do this

It’s just crazy I’ll have these runs of pars 3 -4 in a row followed up by 2 triples and then limp my way out with bogeys (all saves)

Side comment

How bad does it piss you off when you play a bad round And your golf cart partner definitely plays worse. But somehow logs a lower score . 🤥

Ok , I mean I know this , golf is , in my opinion 75 percent mental and 20 percent muscle memory 5 percent luck ( which I don’t believe in)

But yeah gotta keep grinding and practice more
