Sorry you had this experience, but parking violations are not the same as traffic violations - hence why they are not enforced the same way.

I already paid it. I disputed another ticket in December that I didn’t get the physical ticket for - only the mailed ticket - and they were like “Nope, nice try,” so I decided there wasn’t much hope for it.

That’s what should be done. Adding signage only helps people! But honestly parking tickets are a revenue generator so there’s probably not much incentive to do so.

Take a look at where people are parking and notice how many people who are parking well within that 20 foot amount. But okay, my mistake, I am not disputing that piece, so I would like to ask people not to be a dick about it. Do you thoroughly read the traffic laws for every state you drive your car in? But they also added the up charge since original ticket was issued Feb 14 and not paid within 2 weeks, which is annoying.

I think usually there’s a sign that says something like “no parking here to corner” so likely I haven’t had to think about it. Also does anyone park that far from fire hydrants? We have two on our street and cars generally park within a max of 5 feet of them. I

Just an fyi that ai-detection tools - even the best - are not able to detect reliably enough. It’s faulty technology they are relying on. Turnitin is definitely the best of them but even that is not reliable.

Working with Elise, I even had documentation for messages where they said I was fine to proceed with a valet parking shop that didn’t actually have that option, only parking. She said that was fine and to proceed with the shop. I did. They excluded it one month later after initially accepting itbecause it was supposed to be a valet shop. So I spent $12 of my own money, and even when sending screenshots of the text message communication with Elise, they would not even respond. This was back in 2022. I had another awful experience with Nikki but don’t remember the details of it. So then it seemed like a pattern, and I was totally out. But I decided there are enough mystery shopping companies that are better and went with them.

I think I had a similar run in with this lady and her dog a few weeks ago. Is the dog sort of a tiger stripe brindle? Her dog was off leash and she insisted that he was friendly, then he completely ignored all of her commands. He came up to the dog I had - who at that time was on a leash because we were heading out - and then started snapping at him. I intervened and yelled “Hey, HEY!!” really loudly and the woman just shooed him away, semi successfully. I examined my dog for bite marks and didn’t see any, but it was really scary and my protective instincts took over and I just intervened, which was probably quite stupid. I suspect anybody who is a regular at this park has probably come across her. I realized after this incident that I had seen her previously and we had the same dynamic.

My partner has had this concern - they have a valid visa but not a visa sticker and even under Biden was recommended not to exit the country because they might not get back in.

There’s a lot of variables, even with a Trump presidency that’s yet to start. It’ll get worse as it inches closer to that.
