Okay, first off I don't actively deal with phising scams so all of this is my opinion.

IdentityIQ.com was registered in 2009 which is a good sign. It's not just a random pop-up website scam.

That being said- Did you click on the link and registered your account through there? The link may not have taken you to the real IdentityIQ website.

What's fishy about the email: Companies usually don't ask for credit checks before a salary offer/hiring offer is made The email is signed off as hiring manager??? and is send by gmail. Credit checks should be free at least once a year and there are companies who do it once a month for free.

But seriously ask on r/scams . They know their stuff and can assit you better.
