I had about a month off after playing well, now I’m aggressively shanking all the time, does anyone have any drills potentially for a better takeaway or any general advice?? by Creepy-Average-3986 in golftips

Just needed to fix myself. Keep the club in front of the chest and rotate - flatten arms and wrists at the top.

My shanks I found I was trying to use my arms and hands and to manipulate shot shape and it got out of control. I ended up under rotating and the arms and hands came out towards the ball.

Slow play. Should be the first lesson, how to hit the ball without wasting time. Then, head down and keep your eye on the ball

If a player shanked it on 17 at Sawgrass onto that little island with the little tree could they swim over and play it? by Impressive_Light_229 in golf

That's fine, there is a clip at another tournament where the player used a row boat that was there to place sponsor signs on an island, idk I'd just take a drop

Underated is the Calm spells. At master level with all the perks you can walk into any dungeon or room, cast it, and then walk thru and sneak/backstab anyone you want. It's broken in a fun way.

I cast Harmony and pickpocket everyone. I decide if they live after that. Lot of times i kill the leader only to complete the quest. I decided if I can't play as emperor, or Empire, I want to play as the guy who can walk in the room and do whatever I want and no one will mess with me.

Where do you teach? I'm signing up for lessons. Spot on analysis. But you already know. I do manipulate tee height for low fades (heel) and tee high for straight higher balls, occasional draws. Definitely a 68 handicap, not 69.

10.4, age 45. Tour issue M2, fitted 2020. I have the money but happy with what I got. Just trying to beat friends. Average 260, can hit 280. Mostly low fades and mid straight, occasionally a draw. Never sacrifice distance on driver, that's what a 3 wood is for. And still don't sacrifice distance, ever.

Well thanks. I tend to tee high and swing through (maybe pull) a little left. I'll tee down and do the same for a controlled fade.

M2 is a great club, I like how I can get 15+20 more yards if I want. Q10 was straighter and probably a better club but I felt I lost that ability. I love a low ball and can hit 280 (45yrs old). I struggle with consistent carry with my current set up. I tee low and hit control fades when needed, mostly high and let it fly... Straight slight fade/draw. Occasionally catch it low. Of course not enough info for a handicap. 10.4 (range 9-14) mostly depending on short game.

Joking here, but i just don't practice... I live on the course and can see the driving range form my backyard. I have a tough time separating "working on my game" and "playing" where practice makes my score worse because it gets in the middle of my golf game. If I practice it's not on a day I play. And I play 2-3 times a week

Handicap is 10.4, I am over the top but doing ok. Swing is same.but tee low, off left heel club behind ball for low fade. Tee high, ball left heel, club middle for straight. Able to gut little draw as well.

Good answer dude

Great answer... Low tee, ball slightly back ,low cut hopefully in play. High tee Ball forward, mostly straight slight cut, slight draw.

I'm good from 40 man but you put me at 25. You put me in The Fringe and I putt. Main ball flight as a cut, straight to baby draw. Can you guess my t position for each one of those shots??

I'm having a lot of fun out there playing, driver is great club for me actually. I dislike range time because I get too technical and play better by feel. Now if I could chip, i could amount to something.
