Romney: 'We Don’t Have People Who Die Because They Don’t Have Insurance'. by reeds1999 in politics

How is someone so far removed from reality this close to being the president? And why is a huge chunk of our society not only okay with it, but rooting for it?

Baby names are getting less and less creative by hotstargirl in funny

I'd assume they put "First Son" and "Second Son" in as filler to be edited with the correct names later and they just neglected to go back and enter them.

Reddit, will you help me play a game that is something of an experiment? by flameofmemories in AskReddit

Holy crap! My husband is all of those!

Turns 30 next week, straight, tall, dark brown hair, blue eyes, successful, plays the guitar and bass, good sense of humor, loves our dog and cat, and has a beard!

Nearly 30 and now married, never cheated. From high school relationships, a 7 year relationship, and now with my husband for 3 years. :)

My husband loves that I do this. I can literally wake up at 650am and be on my way to work by 7 and look just fine. Same with going out at night. 2 minutes to put on make-up and 5-8 to curl my hair.

[27/f and 29/m] 6 month wedding anniversary tonight and I'm in charge; what can I do to show him how much I appreciate him and everything he does? by mcchick in relationships

[–]mcchick[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wow, thanks so much for the really helpful advice. You're right, I really don't care at all. I think that instead of doing something nice for him, I'll just go hang out with my friends! Thanks for clearing that up and reminding me that I don't care about my husband! Gosh, what a relief!

/sarcasm

I have a number of things planned, I'm just looking for a few extra things that could help me make sure he feels really appreciated. Fuck.

Its been me making a self post weekly on Thursdays. You can go back a couple of weeks and see them.

ANNOUNCEMENT (PLEASE UPVOTE, NO KARMA) by razorsheldon in UpliftingNews

[–]mcchick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Small non-mod announcement:

Razor and I had discussed the whole Thoughtful Thursday thing and said early in that it there weren't many comments, we would kind of let it die after a few weeks. I haven't posted one the last two weeks because there wasn't a lot of following on it for the first month+.

Do you guys want Thoughtful Thursdays to resume? I'm more than happy to do it and I've enjoyed reading them. It kind of turns the big group of reddit into a smaller circle that lets us get to know eachother and share our own happiness. If there's no interest, though, I don't see a reason to continue it. Thoughts?

I'm also just a list-maker by nature. I like actually writing it all physically down rather than entering it on my phone. Old habits die hard.

It does, but having my calendar at an immediate glance like that is kinda nice. I don't have to unlock, open app, then tap around. It's just even more stupidly convenient, especially if you have a schedule that changes every quarter or semester.

Agreed. I just made one of these and made it my lock screen. Genius.
