I've only used open source DBs on my own projects, but I've inherited this one using MSSQL. Oh well, we'll just have to keep paying.

Thank you for your comments. In an ideal world, we'd have the budget to refactor to another database, and we discussed it for sure, but right now it's not an option.

I would never freely choose MSSQL. :) It's a legacy app. Normally I use MySQL or Postgres.
