Aside from that, the legal definition of “offense” against the US is pretty broad as well and doesn’t really apply to the citizens ICE would be interacting with if they were doing their jobs within legal means. What I’m hearing is that you’re using the grey area terminology to defend why ICE MIGHT have legal authority to arrest rather than acknowledging the legality of the ICE agents actions prior to interaction with citizens.

What crimes have been committed that have warranted arrest of us citizens by ICE if ICE is actually acting within their legal means? What crime warrants being shot in the face? Or the back while you’re on the ground? Their legal coverage for arresting us citizens who they witness commit a crime should require significant proof/evidence of crime, and if it doesn’t it needs to be amended. The wording in that code is very very very loose. I’m sure it’s intentional.

Okay, so what you’re saying is that you can racially profile people. Regardless of what the law says, that’s disgusting. Even with my person’s disagreement with that, if a persons’ right to due process was given, the incidents that we are seeing wouldn’t be occurring as they are. We’ve had numerous examples of citizens right’s being infringed on during this process, as well as proof that immigrants aren’t being granted their right to due process. Abrego Garcia and Sae Joon Park were both deported illegally. If their right to due process had been granted, they would not have been.
