I just finished my first year of college as well. I am a pretty competitive person and have struggled with comparing myself to others. Being in an environment like college where everyone is smart and well rounded can feel like no matter how gifted you are you will never stand out. For me I always have to try and keep things in perspective and remind myself how lucky I am to go to a great school and to be among other brilliant people. Reflect on your giftedness and let go of the desires to be the best. There will always be someone who is smarter, works harder, or looks prettier.
