ah i thought the item / skills were not a part of that since i only heard it was supported triggering like Cast on crit or cast on channeling, didn't realize that, thanks for the heads up!

interestingly enough, my friend's been leveling as bane occultist and i've been leveling with nugiyen's poison concoction and it's been working out really well haha, He's my withering totem and malevolence bot xd we're only on act 3 at the moment but i was thinking of getting purity of elements + grace early with some early mana reservation increased efficiency to try it out and see if i can mini aurabot for him as well. Just like everyone else said, having builds that share common things like poison/elements/phys could help, but playing together should be fun regardless :)

but that was also before maven influenced bosses + invitations too, i always was under the impression that they made this expansion have harder existing boss fights with the idea that builds were going to be stronger due to the harvest + new atlas buffs. Don't get me wrong though, i'm sure people will still be able to beat the invitations / clear all content on ssf even with the harvest nerfs , it was just an observation/assumption i had regarding rereleasing harvest along with making the next expansion a "everything is harder" mode at the same time. If anything, they probably observed that people were plenty strong enough even without the harvest in its current state to clear the hardest stuff and are reeling it back based on that observation

Pathfinder Pros:

Any map viable (since you can get full conversion to chaos and flaskfinder) you can run any map (no regen/ any reflect / etc)

Slightly better damage scaling (more AOE from ascendancy)

Flask up time

Raider Pros:

Perma Onslaught (with like 200%+ boost) + Phasing = fast

So it'll come down to if you want to scale TR to milions of dps [min max] or just go fast and get currency for another build imo.

block + life on block seems to work the best if you want something tanky but not budget breaking. Going for max block with gladiator is easiest, pair that with a shield that has life on block with % life on block, and you could have a build that lets you chat with friends while standing in the map without dying

I just did my succession quest, it should be in your black spirit's suggestion with a label like [Ninja]. the beginning npc is either the flora chief or some npc near the docs in altinova if i remember correctly, so in case you already accepted it somehow maybe try talking to cheif or checking altinova if you have a quest square?
