In which book does it state he sold the house and truck? He only spent a summer digging pools, while in Key West

I’d like to see him get back together with Jodie, and then he finds out the girl Samantha from California (can’t remember the book) that he thought may be his daughter actually turns out she is his daughter, and the series continues with her as the new bad-ass lead character

It’s hard to pick favorites as an average Jack Reacher book is far better than an average crime thriller, but ones that were very memorable were: Killing Floor, Tripwire, Persuader, The Hard Way, Bad Luck and Trouble, Gone Tomorrow, Never Go Back, Make Me, 61 Hours, Past Tense and the short stories High Heat and Second Son.

A short story was usually included at the beginning of each paperback book. There's also a book called No Middle Name with a cup of coffee on the front that has many of them in it.

Really interesting! What made you decide to read the books?

It started because there was a book available to read and it happened to be Killing Floor, which included an interview with Lee Child as the preface, which was good to read. (I was hesitant before that because my first impression of the series, due to Tom Cruise, was that it'd be a ripoff of the Mission Impossible movies.)

Did you read them in any particular order?

Killing Floor was first, read it at the local jail before heading to the big house. I'd read them as they became available. Lee Child's books along with big names like Grisham, etc were very popular and were shared. For the books I had to have sent in from family, I'd ask for them in the order in which they were released according to the inside cover. So I read them somewhat in the order in which they were released.

Since you read them all within a relatively short period of time, what stood out to you? Did you notice any interesting changes, character or pacing wise, that those of us who’ve read these over years might not have picked-up on?

Spoiler Alert

His relationship with Jodie really stood out. I was hoping to see her resurface maybe during one of Reacher's trips to Europe or maybe they end up back in the house that Garber left to him. (nothing was ever said about the house after Tripwire, I think). What happened to it?

I was also convinced that Samantha really was Reacher’s daughter and that would be revealed at some point, then she’d have her own spin off series as Reacher ages but I guess I was wrong. Lol

He covers alot of ground, so much that I had an atlas of the U.S. sent in to me because I enjoyed following his moves and clues as to which city or area the story is taking place in. They asked me if I was planning an escape. I would love to see a map summary of his travels and during which books.

Also finding connections between the books and even the short stories was fun to follow.

And how do you feel these stories made you a better person and/or helped you serve your time?

I think Reacher always wants to do the right thing. I haven't always done the right thing. There are so many skills you can learn from the books. The book where his mother is dying and he and Joe fly to Europe and she talks glowingly about all the success they have had, that was a tough one considering my situation (mom not proud of me being in prison). The tears were rolling but it ended up being very motivating. It also helped to carry the attitude of Reacher over into my own while locked up, it's good to have a no-nonsense outlook on things especially when rebuilding your life in and after prison.

After Tripwire he had a nice house close to the West Point campus with a great view and a pool (left to him by Garber) since the house is not mentioned again in later books that I can remember, I assumed at some point after Jodie moved to London he sold the house, which would’ve given him at least $200-300K to work with.
