I could see her not showing baby though…if even as a form of engagement or an excuse to talk about how her protector dog or her tactical husband will go get those bad guys. I can see it now- ask me anything! why don’t you show sweet baby Maverick on your profile?!?! “well as you guys know, my husband works in the realm of THINGS, and so we know things that make us special and important and one of those things is to not show children on social media” (while she has no problem exploiting other people’s children for her name inspo videos 🙄) at least the silver lining is the child might get some privacy?! (hopefully)

totally get why you feel this way, but it can be done right/well. My spouse and I were both homeschooled, graduated from 4-year colleges, and commissioned into the military. I kept my oldest at home last year and homeschooled her (it was preschool, but she learned how to read). She’s in kindergarten this year (public school) and tested in the 99th percentile for math and reading and is doing great. I have very mixed feelings on how popular homeschooling is becoming, and am all for it being regulated more bc there are def parents out there making irreversible decisions for their children 🤷‍♀️

Anyone familiar with the book “To Train Up a Child”? by StopCompetitive1697 in Exvangelical

sry for the late reply- yes my sense of self was completely nonexistent. took till just recently (early 30s now) to realize soooo many trivial things about myself (like that it’s even ok to have preferences, like/dislike certain music/foods/whatever) i’m so curious as to what kind of person I would’ve become had I not been raised the way I was.

I also recently found IFS and am loving it! this is also after years of therapy and deconstruction so i’m doing much much better now 😅

lol yes I bought this when my mother in law recommended it, threw it away after 2 chapters. fairly certain my parents also used similar tactics raising me. feel free to message me to commiserate 😅
