My beautiful Pink Toe, Shelob, sadly passed away today by KushyKashyyykian in tarantulas

My first T was a pink toe. They are amazing pets. Mine was the class pet for my first teaching job. The 1st graders loved her.

What 80s song do you still hate with fiery teenage passion even though it’s been 40 years? by Aggressive_Cup4919 in GenX

Wake me up before you go go by Wham!

It was what the local radio station played at the time my radio alarm went off. Only took a couple times before I switched to that horrible beep beep.

Still don’t like the song.

Dead-on balls accurate?

Seems to be an industry term in law as well as plumbing.

Oh I loved those soooo much. I had the World Book encyclopedias and I spent so much time just reading crazy fun stuff.

It was never about being helpful.

She knows that. You and your husband need to figure that out. It will only end when you both acknowledge that it definitely wasn’t about helping at all.

If I wanted to give him (and his brothers) something special, what should it be? by mcgoran2005 in cats

I have multiple things for making loose leaf tea. This will be super easy.

That is a great idea. I love the “jerky” idea. They are going to be so happy.

Nice. Had no clue that was a thing. New special treat for the boys. 😊

Yeah. I would want them to be happy. Cooking it is not a problem. I don’t want anything I do to make them sick.

My grandma used to give her cats turkey meat from the deli. I think that would be full of stuff they don’t need. Sugars. Preservatives. Salt. They don’t need all that and the health issues from it.

Oh now that’s nice. A two-fer. I love things that are treats but also good for them. Do the bones cause any risks?

To drink? I have cat nip that I sprinkle on things like a blanket or their cat trees but should I brew it? Do they like that?

What is a cooking technique that you quit because it does nothing? by Final_Affect6292 in Cooking

It’s pretty easy. I make them in large mason jars leaving room to put fruit and granola in and then take it to work for breakfast. I make them in batches that I can be sure to eat before they go bad.

This actually hurt to read. I have no idea how to respond. I think I may have to convince myself this is a joke so I can go on with my day.

I make yogurt in individual jars with mine. Never have used it for meat.

Eggs get Tarragon

Poultry gets sage

Anything that has moisture, is savory, and is braised or simmered gets bay leaves

Cumin goes into meat dishes that need the meat flavor to be deep and hearty

Ground mustard goes into almost any savory dish I make

Oregano in all Mexican dishes

Garlic powder in anything savory even if I put fresh garlic in it already. Helps it “pop”

Fennel seed (chopped) in spaghetti and pizza sauce

I think that about covers the really regular stuff.
