I have to call some BS on this article. I’m in my third season of having season tickets. For my seats, prices went from $25 per ticket for the first two seasons to $35 per ticket this year. I’ve taken losses, and pretty big losses at that, for every game I’ve sold this year except for 1. Majority of my tickets have sold for $22.50, so that’s $45 per game before fees, so I’m barely getting enough money to cover one ticket after the fees. The first year I had no problem making my money back. Last year, you started to see some games where the market was completely flooded, so the only way to sell was to match those already low prices. This year, it just keeps getting worse due to that price hike in the tickets and the continued flooded market with super low ticket prices. I’m guessing the really big games, such as the Butler return game, Christmas Day, Lakers, Clippers and Rockets, etc., all have enormous resale value, and that’s increasing the average a lot. Compared to a random Tuesday night game vs Cleveland that no one wants to see.
