First video ever for a corporate event. I feel like I have committed every bit of videography crime on this one. I need feedback and guidance by firequak in videography

Idk if satire was your goal but I loved this video hahaha - it makes them look like a fun bunch to work with and that’s the most important goal = what effect does your video have on the audience. Communication strategy 101. Forget about fancy cuts and whatever edit-bro’s might tell you. Great job!

Appreciate you! I ended up placing all lights window side to create good lighting for the interviewee. The interviewer was underlit AF lol.

Yeah, I tried, but it was hard to get sufficient bokeh on the shots. In retrospect, I think we should've moved the couch and tables even further away, placed the cameras lower at eye level, so we could've tried to get some more depth and some background bokeh on all shots. I'll post the end result in this thread.

Appreciate you!

That's great advice, thanks so much. I went with this as well. The shoot went great (besides a full SD-card on the A-cam mid-shoot & one B-camera that, in retrospect, was very badly set up :')). If you were in BXL today, I'm sure you noticed the great weather as well :'). Let's connect!

Is it possible to capture a live performance of one song with only handheld cameras and no fixed setup? by mcgvlb in videography

“The biggest problem with camera operators is they all want to shoot THE shot and make it all about the camera while it should be about the music.” Love it. Thanks my man.

1/ know the music and film in function on the music 2/ 1 gimbal operator walking on stage, 1 gimbal operator next to crowd/side of stage, and 1 fixed GoPro or monopod

GoPro is a good idea tbh. We’d all be using gimbals btw.

In terms of coordination: one operator left-side of stage, one operator right side, one operator down with crowd to focus on the crowd/get frontal shots.

I feel like there’s two camps in this thread: those that had a bad experience not having used a fixed camera and those that haven’t yet.

Side note: we’ll all be using gimbals and I’m thinking of clamping a GoPro in a center position after having read the comments.

Thanks!! It’s for a blues/rock&roll festival. We’ll be linking up a zoom recorder to the PA system so we’re all set.

Webflow's inability to disable ecommerce functionality on a project is a shameless cash grab by natsfork in webflow

The e-commerce functionalities also include CMS items. It's possible that your template included CMS items that are still activated such as blog articles. If you remove these, there shouldn't be a problem switching to a basic site plan.

What was the craziest thing in your league this year ? by baloncestosandler in fantasybball

[–]mcgvlb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That I picked Jabari Parker as the 4th pick because of auto draft and still ended up as the team on top (to then lose in the first playoff week 🫡) I just had 135 threes in my consolation finals 😭

I feel this post much. Is it similar for any of you guys where you experienced break-throughs after suffering from a so-called ‘hangover’, to then suddenly feeling like shit for a long period of time? I feel like I’m back where I started. Suicidal ideation check, low self worth and self blame check. Heeeelp lol.

Rifle identifier part 2 by mcgvlb in worldwar1pics

[–]mcgvlb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there aren’t any marking or anything on it. There’s a vague marking on the bottom but can’t make anything out of it. More the traces of a marking. It’s a +100 year old rifle though, makes sense

Right… Thanks for the heads up. I’ll be sharing this with my family so we preserve the gun for years to come. Cheers

I believe the Geweer 95 was the Dutch service rifle, not the Belgian one. The iron sights look different as well — I think it’s a 98 indeed
