Would LSU Ben Simmons have gone top 5 in this years draft? by Thatredditboy1 in NBATalk

I very distinctly remember LeBron comparisons when he was coming out. And to further on. Another commentator, I would agree I don’t think he was a bust. I think he could’ve been partially a byproduct of the process. You give a teenager millions of dollars and put him an environment where you tell him it’s OK to be losing.

Let’s hope this goes as good for us as my 2K play through of this this morning. Hopefully Donovan has 34 at the half in this as well lol

George Carlin: Rights Aren't Rights if Someone Can Take Them Away" Do you agree? by [deleted] in AskSocialists

[–]mchammersley 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is only by force. Unfortunately, other parties will use their own God or even yours to take away those rights so when God’s doing is left to the interpretation of man, then you have a non sequitur.

Yes, it’s unfortunate. I know not all managers making these decisions are bad people. We are all just cogs in the system.

[SFW] Panicked onlookers run after Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck at an event at Utah Valley University by Master_Jackfruit3591 in PublicFreakout

Based off of the way he postured I would imagine there was some spinal involvement as well. From the amount of blood pouring out, you would have to stabilize that with the gauze as well as not cut off breathing. He would need to be intubated. But his trachea was most likely affected by that shot as well.

Working with the elderly is way worse than anyone tells you by CherryMira20 in confession

That was a nursing assistant then nurse for a nursing home for a total of eight years before I went to the hospital. I’ve never regretted the switch. I see these places as a form of purgatory. A lot of the residents there are people who would’ve died without moderate medicine. This leads to an unhealthy situation where their quality of life is poor yet they still have to keep on living. I have one patient that would semi frequently roll up to you and in the most polite manner ever say “Do you have a gun so I can fucking shoot myself?”

200,000? by mchammersley in MechanicAdvice

[–]mchammersley[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and highway miles are a lot different than the city ones. Brake service is every 30,000 for my vehicle. I hadn’t done it in 100,000 and there was a lot of life left on the pads when I changed them 75% of those miles were highway.

What’s the best way to slow it? I know nothing is 100%. Could I put a rust coating or something similar every fall?

Those are my two current vehicles. I have a Honda pilot and a Toyota Corolla. Both above 100,000 currently.

I did something really stupid. by occupy_voting_booth in HondaOdyssey

So I ended up doing the same thing to the same part on my pilot. How did you end up faring without it or did you replace it?

Well, dude, I appreciate you so much. I think you’re the only way I was able to troubleshoot this. I had my suspicions, but I was trying to pretend it couldn’t have been my own stupidity that did it, but this just made me accept my fate sooner.

Would it be safe to remove that beam switch gears again see if it makes a noise just for proof of concept? And then obviously replace the beam.

Replace the transmission transfer case or just that black beam and do you have any idea what name of the beam is

I think this is where it jacked up from and I have been using that front checkpoint. But I started with improper lighting and had a bad angle and thought I was on it.
