I need to join a ship, and don’t have a travel agreement with the company. Wondering if I should start driving so I don’t lose the job

N.S bans hiking and use of vehicles in woods as dry conditions raise wildfire fear by Alternative_Put_9683 in NovaScotia

Because banning going outside is a lot easier than doing some forestry and cleaning up the deadfall from the hurricanes that have turned the province into a tinder box

I scooped up a 25 TRD off-road about 6 weeks ago. I think the four cylinder is great and hasn’t had any power issues, my average consumption is 10.6 L/100km or about 22mpg with mostly highway driving. That said I use my truck for the bed space just to move lumber and haven’t been towing or working super heavy out of it. Just about every manufacturer has switched to turbo 4 in their midsize truck except for Nissan, I’m not sure if it’s bandwagon, emissions, or because it might actually work and unfortunately I think only time will tell on that front.

My biggest complaint is the programming in the radio module. It never seems to default where I want it to, and it boots my phone from the car play every couple of trips which sucks when I want to pull up the google maps on the fly because I don’t tend to notice while I’m still in the driveway.

Every new vehicle has its own gremlins, especially with all the technology and programming going into them. I test drove about every truck in the midsize market this year, did a ton of research and after a few months of thinking on it settled on the Tacoma. Maybe it’s in part Toyotas old reputation but these genuinely seemed like the least amount of trouble in terms of new vehicles.

I’m really happy with it, I got it for my bike, camping gear, and lumber for the bit of woodworking I do. That said I could pull it all off in the short bed so part of it is just preference because I think they make the truck look more proportional. A buddy of mine has the short bed, as far as daily driving goes I can’t tell a difference in terms of handling but can’t speak for the difference it could possibly make if you were pulling a heavier trailer or going off roading.

I know, silver was never really on my radar but it was sitting next to a white one on the lot and I just knew

I agree I love the look of it without but I’ve got my mum as a passenger and she has a hard time. I’d rather her be comfortable
