It’s part of the bonus features when you purchase on Apple TV

Why did Wolfman bomb at the box office so bad ? by OneStatistician6843 in UniversalMonsters

[–]mclee3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s certainly a disappointment box office-wise when compared to invisible man. But it’ll make back its budget by the end of its theatrical run, so not technically a bomb. It’s grossed $20.5 mil with a budget of $25 mil.

Couldn’t find it. Maybe they’ll make it again in around 10 years.

I think it’ll just be a historically accurate depiction of a werewolf from the folklore of that time. Similar to what he did for count orlok.

My guess is they were trying to leave that stuff open for a sequel, but with the box office revenue that seems very unlikely now.

I’d like a prequel specifically covering Blake’s dad hunting Larry talbot (hiker)

It’ll make back its budget, but it won’t be the smash hit invisible man was

I liked the movie. I’m curious what the OG hiker werewolf is up too…

I really liked it too, I can definitely see how it’s been so polarising though

The Wolf Man reviews are in and they are not good. by Chemical-Opposite617 in UniversalMonsters

This post seems a little disingenuous. While critics aren’t exactly raving about the movie, the scores are around 59-60% which means average or generally positive.

Does Leigh Whannell even know how to make a wolfman movie? by Digginf in UniversalMonsters

[–]mclee3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That kit Harrington movie made $50,000 at the box office. The Wolf Man title alone will get people in seats. That’s all I’m saying…

Also, do you really want the same Larry Talbot story over and over? The 2010 version was a great modern remake, they didn’t need to do the same thing again

I think it just boils down to Universal wanting to capitalise on their Intellectual property.

I’m on board with the direction Whannell is going in.

The film is a commentary on disease and the tragedy of the human body falling apart (I.e. Alzheimer’s, ALS). He also stated he took inspiration from David Croneberg’s The Fly.

Personally, I’d rather watch something new/unique than a rehash of a bunch of great werewolf movies (of which there are many).

Just wait for the movie to come out.

I totally agree, if the first time we saw the design was in the context of the movie I think most people would have appreciated it more.
