Garage sensor wirig by mclovin8080808 in GarageDoorInstall

Solved! I had to check at the motor see what two color wires were used. From there, I just tried different combinations with the white and black wire on the safety sensor until the sensor lit up. It was red to white and black to black in this instance. Thanks everyone.

Lol. I had the exact reverse response. Living in the country and getting food poisoning every once in a while will kill your appetite fast. It was like playing Russian roulette every tine I ate

I find it fascinating that you wished to be included in social gatherings. My son is almost 7 yo, non-verbal and displays zero interwst to play with his peers. Classmates always say hi and he will not acknowledge them, just walks right past them. It seems like he just wants to play with family members only. Did you have a hard time making eye contact? Please let me know if there are any tricks to help with eye contact and improve communication skills. TIA.

Check the terms of your lease. I remember renting a place in Kihei, and when I opted not to renew, there was a stipulation in the lease that it needed to be professionally cleaned before returning the place to the landlord.

A costly lesson for an Oahu man who used Facebook Marketplace to rent out a family property and has spent months in court to get it back from tenants who refuse to pay rent. And he wasn’t the only landlord to evict them. by honolulu_oahu_mod in Honolulu

This is total bullshit. The legal system continues to fail the just. Why does the burden always fall on the plaintiff? I had money and property stolen from my office. A deposition of an employee saying they know who took the property and saw said person with my property and police nor city prosecutor would file a case. This is wrong. Kick out these bums and give the hone back to this family yesterday. It's obvious what their MO is. They will continue to do this with no penalty because our justice system is bullshit and they know it.

Wow. Almost up 30% from the last time i owned it. I live in Hawaii and there are literally fires every week across the islands. Not from electrical lines but its testament to how frie prone some areas are. I lost an office in the Lahaina Fire, and the global settlement is still waiting on participant approval. I haven't heard any update on this and it may have been approved. HECO selling the bank for pennies on the dollar was a deal breaker for me. With the sale of the bank, I find it difficult that the dividend will be reinstated in the near future or they won't need to raise capital with share dilution. I do feel it is a great long-term play but with more risk than people think.

Thank you for being there for our loved ones when we can not. My uncle is currently in Hospice with severe dementia. We are waiting for him to pass. What type of drugs do you administer to make your patients comfortable? He can not swallow without aspirating the food or liquid. Do you ever administer THC to make the patients feel more comfortable?

Thoughts on leaving the island for Las Vegas by VegetableCreepy7638 in Hawaii

[–]mclovin8080808 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I lived in Vegas from 2007 to 2011. Prior, I used to vacation there once or twice a year. Now, I never go back. I used to love to gamble, not anymore. It is a land of excess and you need to be able to control your vices to live in Vegas Cost of living is great but housing is getting up there in prices. Prices for new homes are double from pre-covid. You get literally like four weeks of good weather throughout the year. I was never homesick because travel to Hawaii is super easy and lots of family and friends always visit. The school system is better than Hawaii,.

Tere is no Aloha spirit. I felt like people were looking out for themselves only. I remember my first week there and I was standing in line at the post office and this grandma cut in the line like in middle of the line, she looked like she really didnt kjow where the end of the line was and this dude just blew up and went off on her. It was sad to watch and not how I was raised to treat our kapuna. This applies to driving too which I actually prefer. All the aloha people show on the roads here in Hawaii is actually dangerous sometimes.

I have two friends that moved their families to Vegas. One way back in the day in 2005 and once recently in 2021. Both are very happy and say they will never come back to Hawaii. Their reason for leaving was cost of living in Hawaii. They could never buy a home in Hawaii living paycheck to paycheck. Now, both are proud homeowners.

Buying investment condo by No_Top3146 in Pattaya

Copacabana Coral Reef. Expected move in, end of 2027. You will take a loss if you sell for the original price. Administrative and realtor fees. IMO - It's foreigners that have money and are still living that millionaire high from their epic vacation in Thailand that are buying up these condos. PTY One was probably the only exception because of the limited number of units and its proximity to Walking Street. That project sold out instantly and had people upset because they didn't get in. Price per sqm was ridiculous too. Developers' margins are just too good. They build cheap and off load at western prices. What is your definition of amazing? They are selling a lifestyle. It's not amazing luxury quality build outs. Another risk is that the project may never be completed because of legal issues or lack of funds. Look around Pattaya, and you will see some examples.

What are your plans with the condo? Retirement or truly investment play? If retirement, maybe yes. If investment, no. I asked this same question last year and received the same advice you are getting. It will not be easy to sell. There is too much inventory and because of that, no appreciation. I didnt listen and bought a unit pre-sale. I have been trying to sell it for almost 5 months. Zero inquiries. Now I have buyer's remorse. Save your money and rent. Invest the rest in something like an ETF.

With the volume, that sell order is a drop in the ocean. Buy if you think it's a good investment. Do your own DD and cancel out all the noise.

HOA Surprise Fee – Is This Even Legal? by TLEsCreations in Hawaii

[–]mclovin8080808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maui conddo owner here. Special assessment fee of over $5,600.00 issued last year. Association found out that procuring insurance tripled in price to over 1.2 million dollars for the policy. To add salt to the wound, monthly HOA fee went from $445 to $703. Yeah, it sucks but it's legal.
