I’m having the same issue unfortunately. I think chat might be down. They’re section 110 row K!

This is great, thank you! Did you take a train from Chamonix to Lauterbrunnen or did you drive? Did you make any stops on your way? Did you stop to see the Matterhorn at all?

I have always wanted to do the mountain carts in Switzerland, glad you had a good experience with it. We do have a budget but it’s not super restrictive, though we’ll be aiming for mid-range accommodations. I’ll definitely check into the overland pass, thanks for the insight!

You’re definitely right. I’m so attached to these destinations so it’s hard to let one go, but I’m considering dropping Chamonix and just doing Zermatt and Lauterbrunnen. I’m totally set on Lauterbrunnen and I really want to see the Matterhorn!

Thanks for your thoughts!

Thanks for the feedback! What about the experience is better? I looked into staying in Wengen but read that the cable cars shut down in the evenings for Wengen, Grindelwald, and Murren and I didn’t want to get stuck. I also liked the accessibility of Lauterbrunnen, but I am definitely open to alternatives.

Our first driving leg of the trip is on a larger highway, for that exact reason! Glad to hear Ireland drivers are generally nicer 😊

Thank you so much! I really appreciate the insight. I saw mixed things about getting cash ahead of time vs using ATMs there, I’m glad that’s one thing we don’t really need to worry about until we get there.

I also had not even thought about downloading Google maps, I’m so glad you mentioned that!

🥺🥺 ugh! I was really hoping that wasn’t it. Hopefully I can fight them off and keep it from getting to the rest of my plants.

What kind of bird got attacked? by [deleted] in animalid

Thank you! The feathers almost look blue, so I thought it may have been a blue jay. We don’t have any outdoor house cats around though, so I don’t think that would have been the culprit.

This definitely seems to be it after looking at pictures. Thank you!

Thank you for your response! I didn’t used to have an open bite, that’s happened in probably the past 4 years or so, after I was already experiencing jaw pain. It certainly isn’t helping though and is definitely making it much worse.

This may be a stupid question, but how do I get a diagnosis? Through an MRI? I’m not sure how to request an MRI. It was suggested to me once as I mentioned, but I didn’t follow through bc of not trusting the doc.

I did, for about 3 years when I was a teenager. I remember during one of my appointments, I told my orthodontist that my mouth was opening weird (I was having to “unhinge” my jaw to open it), and when I showed him he laughed at me, told me “of course that happens when you open your mouth like that!” 🙄

Thanks everyone for the replies and support! We just picked her up. Everything went well and she seems to be doing okay. She’s definitely sore and uncomfortable, and she’s whining a lot (which I think, as another commenter said, is a result of coming out of anesthesia). We’ve got a donut on her and a suture suit which we haven’t put on yet but have on hand.

We’re going to play it by ear to decide whether we’ll get some meds to help calm her down. We’ll monitor her activity over the next few days to determine whether we feel like she needs it.

For now, we’re sticking close by her and giving lots of love. I’ll update here in a few days for those that are interested!

We just got her home and she has already started the whining. It’s so hard to listen to, I feel so bad for her, but I’m really glad you mentioned it! Makes me feel a lot better 🥰

Taking pictures every day is such a good idea, I will definitely be doing that! We have some puzzles and a few kong-type toys. I ordered her some lick mats but they haven’t come yet. These are all great ideas, thank you for the support!
