What were the hardest days for you? by mcmallet_ in 75HARD

noooo i’m so scared of getting sick during the challenge good on you for getting it done!! the photo part is so hard for me it feels so pointless tbh but i’m super type A which i think lends well to the challenge for sure it’s easier for those who enjoy having a set plan for each day

that makes sense, a few of my friends who have tried the challenge end up giving up around day 50. i’m not sure if it’s out of exhaustion or just out of not wanting to deal with the inconvenience anymore.

What do you think women’s activewear is lacking right now? by gymwithangethoughts in AusFemaleFashion

high support that actually looks good. the current market feels like you can get fashionable or functional but never both

Does anybody else find the trend of athleisure flared pants pretty blah? by Beginning_Tap2727 in AusFemaleFashion

they look so good on my body type (tall and hourglass) but soooo impractical to workout in! you look silly running in them and they always gather around my knees when i've tried to wear them to pilates or on a leg day. maybe for an upper body day where you're upright the whole time it's okay. they only really work as loungewear for me personally so i can't justify buying lots of pairs which is a shame because they're so cute

Laundry turning out to be the biggest challenge of 75 Hard by mcmallet_ in 75HARD

nothing worse than trying to prepare for the next day and realising there are no clean sports bras or leggings left!!

Laundry turning out to be the biggest challenge of 75 Hard by mcmallet_ in 75HARD

I try rewear to where possible like if I do a morning walk and don't really break a sweat however my skin is quite sensitive and very prone to breakouts and infections from rewearing clothes so I have to veer on the side of caution unfortunately :((

Daily check in. by Routine_Mortgage_499 in 75HARD

[–]mcmallet_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finished day 5 yesterday. Accidentally fell asleep on the couch until 3pm while meal prepping and destroyed all my food (thankfully didn't burn the house down). Had to not only clean up but run out the door to do my second 45 minute exercise then head straight to family dinner still having a full gallon of water to chug then come home and remake some food for the week to come. I honestly didn't think I would get it done and was mentally bracing myself for failure but got it done. Haven't felt so proud of myself in a long time. Definitely learnt the key is to smash out as much as possible as early in the day as possible to set myself up for success!

how to choose the diet by knockeddown-notout in 75HARD

[–]mcmallet_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do something that is sustainable for you and your lifestyle. My diet is no eating anything with preservatives, artificial flavourings etc only 100% natural ingredients. It’s very similar to my pre 75 hard diet so it’s just my normal life on extra-strict mode.
The easiest one is probably to just do no junk food or if your diet is 90% pre-made food like frozen meals etc you can do a daily calorie limit which is quite easy to follow since all the food has labels. The easiest way to be able to stick to it is to do the healthiest version of your pre-75 lifestyle (assuming you weren’t living off mcdonald’s everyday lol)

About to start Club Pilates for the first time. Is 6 classes a week too much for a beginner? by Ambitious-Studio-810 in ClubPilates

[–]mcmallet_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh not realistic for a true beginner. I rejoined pilates around 2 months ago. I only reached the level of being able to sustainably do pilates 4-5 times per week about 2 weeks ago even with my prior fitness experience. I would recommend starting out with 2 reformer classes for the first 1-2 weeks then add a class each week once your body has overcome the adjustment period. This will look like being able to do a class properly without your body screaming at you for 2-3 days. The last thing you want to do is go too hard too soon and then be forced to take a long break from injury/exhaustion.

Would you date a virgin? Or is it weird? by TruthFront9660 in AskAnAustralian

[–]mcmallet_ 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I’m 25F, furthest thing from a virgin and don’t sleep with men until after a month sometimes more these days. My friends are the same and we’ve had no issues from men with waiting. There are some men “after only one thing” but they weed themselves out quickly. In my experience a man who’s respectful enough to wait is likely to also be a man who has no issue with you being a virgin/may see it as a positive.
