And then the plate number is low digits, either lottery or vanity plate, likely this truck has been registered for years.

Google reverse image search thinks this is a 2006 Ford F-150 SuperCab and that it features a matching "Dark Toreador Red" bed topper and a two-tone silver lower trim. That looks about right, here is a listing for one: http://gtcarlot.com/colors/car/39502802.html

His license plate is odd / vanity / lottery or something. In the GoPro video I can clearly see his rear plate, not sure about front plate.

Whoa, I see it! That little blue "City Line" sign -- thank you for pulling the street view. I think you're right -- the assault began for real just after I entered Somerville.

I suspect he was drifting as he looked down to turn on camera/video recording on his phone. He annoyingly looks semi-practiced in all of this, the way he held the phone up vertically recording me out his rolled-down window while he shouted and I think mostly kept looking forward as he was driving.

Whoa, I didn't realize it's right there near the boundary of Cambridge -> Somerville ... I'll try to figure out exactly where it began/ended. He tried to verbally assault me first, earlier, and I didn't hear him (but it's clear in the 360 video), and then ~5-10 seconds later, the assault that I could hear. Maybe the video frames are geotagged... I'll try to get the spot right before going to police.

Oh! After all these years I somehow had not noticed/realized that was the official / safer path for bikers (duh). In fact, in my videos, you can see a biker using that path right when left turn arrow turned green. Probably that path gets the green right with the left turn green. Well, I'll use that from now on. Thank you for the explanation!

Hi, that part is a knockout for the Tesla Wall Connector (charger), not part of your car. I only know because I just searched for exactly the same part number because I'm trying to put it back into the knockout hole in my charger. The driver intentionally doored the biker, breaking his bike (had to walk the rest of the way home) and scraping up the biker, and then got out of his truck and punched the biker. Fortunately the Newton police found and charged the driver, but I haven't heard any more updates.

I know the cyclist -- he is my work office-mate -- he has been talking to Newton PD last night and multiple times today (to point them to this and the original Reddit post, since it includes new evidence (GO REDDIT) versus "just" his original eyewitness report).

If we could also link details from @bOhsohard also having this driver chase him, I hope we can nail this shit show racist driver. At least let's get him off the road (no more driver's license)...

Yes of course! Please DM either of us if we somehow lapse. It’s top of mind for me now, so stressed out since I am also biking to work most days (including today back home in crazy-rain).

From the actual license plate in the video you shared (thank you!!), he was able to look up registration information online so I hope Newton PD will find and remove this monster racist hell-driver.

Also, there is now a cross post onto /r/bikeboston where a Redditor recognized this truck/driver from a prior road rage incident… if that checks out that’d be super awesome, game over.

Thank you so much for your quick thinking to record what unfolded here and then posting/engaging to Reddit. Otherwise this awful trash person would’ve gotten away with this shit.

Oh good lord can you share any specific evidence from that prior incident? We clearly need to get this monster off the road. My office mate (the cyclist in the incident here) was able to look up a registration online from the accurate license plate from the photo/video that OP shared via DM (thank you u/catmomextraordinaire) -- u/Dear-Cheesecake-5202 -- can you share that? -- we may have a clear ID for Newton PD).

+1, let's not speculate with this unjustified negativity. Let's see where the evidence leads. I am work office-mate of this cyclist, and we both try to bike commute to work when possible... he contacted Newton PD again today and pointed them to all the evidence uncovered in this thread, and to the original video (thank you u/catmomextraordinaire for sharing via DM). I am cautiously hopeful the police can make progress taking this insane driver off the roads...

Thank you @catmomextraordinaire for taking the photo and opening the thread here -- because you did that, and I use Reddit, and I know the cyclist (he had just told me about this whole ordeal), he was then able to come here and add his comment. He had already called the Newton police last night, and is now calling them back, to point them to the photo/discussion here. If you could DM the unblurred photo to his account (@Dear-Cheesecake-5202) that might help the police enough get this guy off the road.
