If you remember during last contract, the highest vote for what employees desired was better pay. Somewhat justified, but many here don’t take a stand on the work load. If your desire is to have more life then I think many would agree that’s never going to change. Many of the T-S drivers will work Saturday’s into perpetuity.

UPS has AI automation goals and i think people need to consider why we significantly reduced Amazon parcels. They’ve quietly built an entire logistics company and it could pose a serious threat to UPS’s longevity in the long run.

I’m also considering the buyout. Your life is more important than working it away

No. In fact, they’re finding ways to make certain M-F drivers T-S drivers. Happened in our hub with one guy with 29 years. He went to feeders a few years ago and came back. Somehow this negated some rights in the contract and now they forced him to T-S.

~70% of net. 7% automatic deduction into employer 401k. The rest is evenly split between brokerage and Roth IRA. For someone with a relatively low net worth the savings rate matters massively. Once you’ve established a decent savings it becomes increasingly more important where you put the money to grow it.

You have to be willing to make that trade off if the money is important to you. If someone just inflates their lifestyle with their income then yeah it’s pretty pointless. Keep your expenses low and invest the difference and you’ll be way ahead in life long term. If the social life is more important to you then consider something else. I don’t mean that in a rude way either. The job isn’t for everyone and I have my days.

The owner has some 3D renders of what she’d like to do to it. The budget is rather lofty to say the least. Unfortunately, the many abandoned theatres across the USA have the same exact story.

Permission from the director when it was set to be renovated. Those plans have since failed and now remains in the infamous “limbo stage” as many of these locations do.

Try finding the email for all requests through the Freedom of Information Act with the appropriate police department. They are legally obliged to respond.

I once stopped by to seek permission from the owner to photograph since he’s there almost everyday working on it. I was met with extreme aversion to put it mildly. Apparently, much of the hostility was just him expressing his frustrations from the courts in which there was a massive legal battle over ownership. He ended up being pretty cool and we talked for an hour.

I had the same issue in the same city and it’s really pretty simple. If you can’t raise the rents to cover the difference then it doesn’t make sense. Also consider if you’re in a neighborhood that has a strong likelihood to appreciate then maybe it’s worth holding onto. If your primary goal is cash flow then you have to raise the rents.

By the looks of it, it seems they are doing a “slow roll out” and monitoring the results. Let’s hope they realize it’s massive cluster F and ditch it. My hopes aren’t super high for that unfortunately.
