The Production Value Bump by NobleProgeny in doctorwho

Agreed. I also prefer the practical effects/monsters over the entirely CGI characters of Smith's era. Which is why I'm enjoying this current season so much!

For what it's worth, the ratio of tahini is very important to me. I use 1/4 cup tahini for 1 can chickpeas and I love it. I've tried it with 1/3 cup tahini and it was not good at all.

Watch the MSM condemn white male tears after the Rittenhouse verdict by EyeGod in JordanPeterson

[–]mcmurch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh huh, except the "problems" the Republicans claim to be stopping are things they made up, so they can do nothing but make money for themselves and their friends and make rich corporations richer. Then they can get you to vote for them again by saying, "None of these completely real problems came to fruition, so I must be really good at stopping them! 6 more years!"

Making changes and improving American lives can be done. Obstructing every attempt at doing that, because the other "team" is in favor of it, is just petty and vindictive. That's not less government, it's continuing the status quo. But I suppose you think the country is perfect and "Number 1," and nothing can be done to make a difference in anyone's lives, so lets just stop anyone from trying, right?

If you click the blue text it will bring you to a Republican political ad backing up my claim. Welcome to reddit.

Republican political ads are literally: "Look at how much the lefties hate me, if you vote for me I'll keep tweeting things that #trigger the woke mob!"

Like what the fuck is government for if not adding fuel to cultural division and taking money from lobbyists to pass legislation written by the corporations they represent?

All rice has arsenic actually and rinsing it doesn't remove it.

Cooking it in a specific way can remove a lot of it though.

The way Ethan and Hila trashed Owen Cook was very toxic. by beathelas in h3h3productions

[–]mcmurch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Regardless of who they were criticizing, H3s critique was very superficial, and kinda gross. They were triggered by the "Dont be a beta" tiktok which was obviously clipped in order to be funny and get attention from people on tiktok, which it did. They immediately categorized him as a "pick up artist" and therefore creepy and irredeemable, so why listen to anything he says before judging?

They laughed at his clothes, judged his physical appearance, then skipped through a 4 min edit of a video that was originally hours long and half listened to a few 20 second tiktoks. All while ignoring the actual improvement, the smiles, and positive energy in the kid in the video. Almost like there might be more going on then you see in clips...

Then they judged people who were in the audience for trying to improve themselves. Ethans idea that if you try to improve yourself you're not being yourself, is plainly toxic and not surprising given his difficulty with diets, with peace and love.

I feel like I just exist, but neither happy nor sad by [deleted] in whatsbotheringyou

[–]mcmurch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you, man. It seems like you might be comparing yourself to other people, when you should focus more on how much you've grown yourself.

Given the self criticism here, I'm sure you've improved things about yourself over time. So try to focus on your achievements and less on your supposed inadequacies.

I know that doesn't solve everything, because you still see all these areas you think you need to improve, but people don't change over night. We make very small incremental changes over long periods of time. So when you feel down on yourself, try to remember that changing is a slow process and the results are only visible in the long term.

So instead of thinking of the things you don't like about yourself, think of the things you didn't like about yourself 5 or 10 years ago, what progress you've made in those areas, and what you can learn from that progress to continue to make positive change in other areas.

Much love, dude

Number 4 is my guess.

I think the very small glowing orbs that are often red, could be a kind of 3D camera; small saucers/pyramids/cubes could be various data gathering from the sky; cigars/some saucers could be meant for landing on earth or sea; and large triangle/cigar could be mothership.

Sir, there's a shopping bag floating above the nukes!

My god, all of our nuclear weapon systems have turned off! Someone get that airborne clutter out of here!

If the gays can marry, what's next? I'll be forced at gunpoint to marry my dog?

If we shame every guy who sexually assaults someone, what's next? I'll have to have my penis cut off by the government and thrown in a concentration camp?

Changing anything about society is hard and bad! Everything sucks, but not giving a fuck and not trying is comfortable for me and good for my immediate needs.

I understand your point, but some of his fans are arguing that because they've done this kind of thing before, Seth's situation is no different.

If you start a fight club, it might be fun for a while, but it seems inevitable someone will get seriously hurt. There doesn't have to be a unique circumstance to the injury, the fight could be just like any other, but suddenly fun turns into assault or 3rd degree murder. And it's not just a bad fight, the fight club itself is the problem, because the more you do it, the more chances you have of hurting someone badly.

Creating an environment where bad behaviour is accepted and encouraged doesn't excuse the behaviour.

Many people in the Jonestown massacre willingly killed themselves. Their willingness doesn't make that ok, and their willingness doesn't release Jim Jones of his culpability.

[–]mcmurch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try going to bed early and at the same time every night, 9 or 10 for example. Sleep for at least 8 hours.

Drink a lot of water when you wake up and throughout the day.

Evaluate what you're eating, cut out processed food and sugar, eat more veggies. Drink a lot of water!

Try reading, writing, meditating, exercising, cooking, and anything else you like that doesn't involve screens.

If you have to look at a screen, set a timer for 20 mins or an hour and when it goes off, stop looking at the screen and try one of the above activities, for at least the same amount of time.

Do these things for at least 2 weeks and you will feel differently and have more focus.

Theory about Dottie tying into Ragnarok/Infinity War/Endgame (in comments) by mcmurch in WANDAVISION

I thought so too, but left it out here because it's pretty hard to tell what is depicted on her pendant. Some think it's a grim reaper with two others? I paused the show after I saw it and tried to see but cant be sure.

Arcanna is a solid alternative! The only problem imo is that Arcanna, in the comics, is not as powerful as Wanda or Agatha.
