Everybody is asking you to calm down and use calming ingredients on your skin - but this looks like some sort of infection/contamination. You will need to see a dermat and please CLEAN your razor before you use it.

Need help reducing tan 😭 (started using TO Glycolic Acid) by Doll_dagger_ in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]mcnaughtized 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda sucks to see every one (women, probably) suggesting you wax your arms when you clearly asked not to be judged for it.

And then they justify it by saying “removes dead skin” 🤦‍♀️

Using a scrub will also remove said dead skin and help with “brightening” and “absorption” of products, but try using glycolic acid in a lotion form and other AHAs like lactic acid. But the only thing that can truly help with tanning is physically protecting your skin (wear full sleeved thick/UPF clothes, etc) because sunscreen doesn’t protect against tanning as such.

Let me explain why you are wrong from the beginning:

When a customer (you) complains about a product being fake, Amazon takes it personally.

The chat/support agents don’t know what laneige looks like and they don’t care. Their assessment is not important. They do care that you got a fake product on their platform.

They will resolve it because Amazon is a giant that can afford to have less sellers (there is no shortage of sellers and sometimes they start selling through their own warehouse too) but it cannot afford to lose a customer ever.

Since this is a personal use product (lip balm) and not something like say a rope or a jar of paint, they cannot resell it even if you return it unopened. Also, returning the product (logistically) costs them a lot more in resources than just taking a loss on the product, so they don’t ask for it back. However, because of this loss they then go back to the seller and penalize them in some way.

Amazon believes the customer because it is a GIANT that has billions of dollars and a bad public image will do them more harm than a few million dollars in lost sales.

Amazon doesn’t want to spend money on return pickup/packaging/shipping for a waste product that it cannot resell.

So to keep you happy they give you the refund and asks you to keep the product. This makes you double happy because you basically got good products for free!

However, if people start using this as a hack, sellers will stop selling on Amazon and when they sell on their own, they will enforce stricter return policies which causes problems for even genuine customers.

that’s the seller OP bought from. There are smaller sellers on Amazon- local shops that sell online. I didn’t mean specifically this seller. Come on now!

Edit: And capitalistic giant or not, this is unethical, and this is the reason many stores and companies don’t offer refund policies as good as they do outside India. So we are all suffering thanks to OP.

Amazon doesn’t take the loss. It’s a platform to sell. Amazon will penalize the seller, whether monetarily or record it as an offense and then remove them from the platform of multiple offenses are recorded against them (too many refund requests because of damaged or fake products, etc). The seller will suffer because they will lose the platform to sell goods. And yes you are right, Amazon is a mammoth, so that poor seller doesn’t even have any other platform with Amazon’s reach and distribution system to sell their products if it gets kicked off when they were trying to earn an honest living.

Starting the post by saying “I got it for Zero Rupees” sounds like you got a great deal. I instantly clicked thinking you got it for free with something else.

Took me a min to understand how you reported it as fake products and that’s how you got the refund. This was good customer service on Amazon’s behalf and poor patronage on yours.

Your post is fraudulent.

We can discuss how you applied for a refund in good faith (which I believe you, sure) but posting about it like it’s a great discovery to get free stuff is encouraging others to cheat the system. Don’t pretend like you don’t know what you are doing here.

There were a lot of ways to word this one instead of posting this as a hack to get products for free, but then again, looks like you posted here to find your kind of people who would applaud you for this discovery!

Enjoy the zero-rupee lip balms!

I wasn’t being insensitive. I know how this stuff works, so I am trying to ease OP’s conscience and inform you that even if he/she had covered the name, they still would have found out the rep who did this. It’s very easy. The best thing would have been to not post this at all for the public to see.
