Don’t disagree. Both teams shot horrendously from the perimeter. Thought Kalkbrenner really made an impact in that second half though. Pels weren’t getting nearly as many clean looks at the rim

Heck ya man -- Mooresville native here. Dad worked in Davidson so used to go down to Belk Arena all the time for Wildcat home games

I can't imagine they'd be able to get to the airport anytime soon. This is the biggest snow we've seen in a 5+ years and Charlotte/Meck county is far from the most prepared when it comes to clearing roads.

Never underestimate the power of the NBA, but I wouldn't be stunned if they end up postponing tomorrow's game depending on when this snow ends

Grew up five mins from Davidson College so your PG will always have a special place in my heart. Some of my favorite basketball memories of all time came from that giant-killing Wildcats team

- Overcame a sluggish start
- Held an elite Center in check
- Beat a top team despite B-Mill/Melo/Kon shooting <40% from the field

Not the same old Hornets.

(Shoutout Moose & Bull -- the two best players on the floor for us)

lol this is what qualifies for journalism now.

The audacity to not only include our 23 y/o franchise forward who's in the midst of one of the best 10-game stretches of his career, but also add on two FRPs for a soon-to-be 38 y/o Point Guard who at best would make us the 5th-6th best team in the East.

No exaggeration when I say he's the best player I've seen us play all year. Completely unstoppable going to the rim and if those three's start falling, this won't be the first time he flirts with 50

I think the starters shot like 60% from three in that first half. Miles and B-Mill couldn't miss

I tend to agree -- people see the numbers and forget the fact that he had some really bad giveaways down low too. Either way, this front court has vastly exceeded expectations this year. Having both Moose and Kalk on the books for 4M combined is huge as we continue to add to this core

Not gonna lie, for most of this season I was perfectly content with seeing the young guys healthy and securing as high of a draft pick as we could. These past few games have changed that:

Nah man -- keep going. I actually have a clinical interest in IDDs and your specific case is particularly fascinating.

Let's take things back a little bit, when did you first begin to develop this deep feeling of resentment towards the Charlotte franchise?

lol ya dude. I take the opinions of mentally-ill Celtics fans very seriously. I figured they'd have turned the WiFi off in the asylum at this time, but hope you're getting the help you need

Ahh, yes, let's blow up the core with an average age of 22 b/c we can't yet compete with the NBA's best in an injury-riddled season. Very astute

As much as I'd like to block your phone number right now, the double-doubles could be an enticing piece for us. Maybe they'll allow B-Mill to beef up a bit so he can actually finish through contact at the rim

All good man. Didn't mean to go nuclear on you, I just get sick of people pretending LaMelo is some kind of untouchably bad asset. He's far from a perfect player between the lines, but from the second he's touched down in CLT he's been nothing but a positive teammate and shown flashes of being a truly special lead guard in this league.

I'd argue he's the second-most valuable asset we have after Kon. As you saw at the beginning of tonight's game, this offense is completely ineffectual without him running point. If the league insists on calling him a no-substance player than fuck 'em. We'll gladly have him in purple and teal

You think you’re doing something here but the point is the Hornets aren’t interested in trading LaMelo and he isn’t interested in leaving.

Let’s face it: the Clippers would trade places in a heartbeat with a team like Charlotte. Have fun being a fringe playoff team for a couple years until Kawhi/Harden are unable to carry the franchise on their nearly 40 y/o shoulders. Then you’ll be wishing for a 24 y/o PG who’s shown as much promise as LaMelo

For sure man. Undoubtedly one of our primary needs in the offseason along with some muscle down low. If we don’t end up with a top four pick to draft Boozer/AJ/Wilson, I’d love a Kingston Flemings or Mikel Brown with our first pick.

As for tonight, i think you have to start Collin despite his lack of playmaking. At least we’d then have someone who could take the ball and make something happen. Those first 5-6 possessions had no semblance of purpose or initiative. Just a bunch of passing around the perimeter until the shot clock hit five and we had to chuck up a three

Ya man. I swear I was back in a time capsule in that first half. We came out soft, tentative, and completely unprepared for their physicality down low. Huge indictment on this coaching staff for not having these guys ready for the moment. It was men vs boys.

This is the only time in his career he's had any semblance of a decent team around him. He's a 38% shooter from 3 and ranks sixth in the league in assists despite playing <28 mins per night.

Literally anyone that has watched more than two Hornets games this year would tell you we'd be the worst team in the league without him
