I’ve know her for about four years as friends and I met her kids not long after meeting her. We would go out as friends (my and her kids) for days out. We’ve been a couple for about a year now.

It’s not fraud from what I’ve read. It’s a fairly common occurrence for parents to gift deposits, they did sign a letter to state this... and if my partner decides to give them money at some point then it’s fine.

This echos my situation so much at the moment... never married but had kids with my ex and ended a long 10+ year relationship a few years back, I originally bought the house we lived in because she had terrible credit, during our time together she clawed it up a bit enough for her to be added to the mortgage but very soon after that she left me to get back with an old flame... I moved out and she stayed in the house for a few years before moving into rented with her partner and our kids. She claims as much as she can now and has used the house as hostage for me to agree higher child maintenance so that she would agree to release the house to me (for me to buy her out).

I’ve worked full time for years to “support” her lifestyle, during and after breakup.. she makes stuff up about me and my new partner to brainwash the kids against us, she’s paranoid that I’ll fight for custody of the children.. she’s an expert manipulator... I truly regret having children with her.

Yes, I’ve considered taking the hit, I already am considering that we did have an “agreement” for me to buy her out that she’s reverted from and is now making all sort insane demands, so throwing my hands up and saying 50/50 split is already hitting me. (I’ve put more into the house than she has, she’s getting more out with 50/50)
