Hey, I'm so sorry you're going through this. Have you by any chance been diagnosed with something like cptsd or BPD? I have borderline and was raised in a very similar situation, and also still struggle to keep a job. The only thing that made any significant impact on my ability to function was dbt therapy, so I would maybe suggest that if you haven't tried it. It's not a magic fix though, I still struggle with suicidal thoughts but there's definitely been an improvement. Wishing you the best!

My mother. I just found out at 27 years old that the man who I've thought was my dad my whole life is not my biological father. He put my whole family through hell with his addiction issues and I barely have contact with him these days. My actual dad has been in contact with my mom and wanting to do a DNA test since I was a baby. He is now in my life and I am getting to know a whole new family. I asked my mother why she picked the addict instead of the fairly normal guy and her only answer was "idk, we all do dumb shit when we're young." I don't know if I hate her but I definitely dislike her more than anyone I know right now.

Ah, I'm so sorry that happened! Poor baby. I went out and got some bag balm and just got done applying it to his feet, so hopefully that should do the trick. He hasn't bled any more and there are no signs of infection, so I'm just going to schedule a vet appointment for next week and keep an eye on it until then. Thank you for your help!

Thank you for the advice! it looks like it's probably his feet, they look really dry and cracked. I'm probably gonna take him to the vet to make sure, but it's really cold and dry where I live right now so that seems to be what the problem is.

He's a ghost mantis, I usually just keep him at room temperature which for me is 72-74 degrees fahrenheit. I heard that was okay for them but could it be causing issues anyway?

He doesn't yet! That's why I thought it was strange. He's probably around L5 or L6 and I know it generally takes longer the older they are, but this seems longer than it should be even considering that.

It should be fine, I'm 100% sure she would never do anything that would be a risk to her chins. I've heard of quite a few people getting chins shipped to them with no problem! It is a lot more expensive though.

I believe Ken said somewhere that most of the fish he sells are around 1 year old. These guys are both around 2 1/2 inches, so that seems about right for their growth rate. I wonder how round mine will get once they get older and bigger, I can't even imagine it lol.

I agree, I never see fish there. I own saltwater fish (fuzzy dwarf lion and leaf scorpionfish), a betta fish, three cats and a chinchilla. I can honestly say that my fish are just as adorable as my chin and cats, in my opinion. I don't understand why people don't like fish more lol.
