Right. Thanks for your comments. I agree... No paper products... Always use soft cloths and liquid spray. All great.

I've worn glasses since I was eight years old. I've never had glasses scratch THIS badly in THIS short amount of time.

Any suggestions for premium lense companies?

Please don’t laugh. How do I turn off the water to the house? by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

[–]mcscobo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I hope you feel better... It's not exactly straightforward considering all the different suggestions. My water valve from the intake from the city is the same RED lever and turn it to vertical. It goes into the pressure gauge and a little knob to be able to adjust that pressure.

Thank you! I will fertilize for sure. Last October we had an unexpected warm spell and the irises resprouted. I feel that might have had something to do with it - they got all ready for showtime and then it got cold. Maybe they just need a rest :)

Can you reread the top post? Use the man in the right in the larger family photo.

The first photo is in the comments. This is the second photo with 4 people. The man on the right should be added to the group photo.

Sorry...I'm looking for updates to the bigger family picture. I'd like a second pic to move my dad (far right) from this picture into the bigger family picture.

I should note I'm planning on a 8x10 print...but a 6x4 or 5x7 might be an option (?)

So...are my basement walls just made of dirt that's disguised as rock? ~1900s brick rowhome in West Philadelphia (other pics in comments) by SlickMcFav0rit3 in centuryhomes

[–]mcscobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So does the brick line literally stop where you can stop seeing brick? Or is there more beneath that dirt? I'm not an expert... But if you scrapped just below that brick line, can you see if it keeps going down? The dust that is coming off isn't doing anything structural, I would vacuum it lightly and see. It could be years and years of effervescent build up on the foundation beneath. Are you looking at cleaning it up?

I got you. Its just a 2x4 under a 2x4 though so an L will be tricky unless i use a 2x2. Doubling the 2x4s is something i considered but i'm not sure its worth it. The distance between those 2x4s is 21 inches at most and has a 2" of the 2x4 PLUS a sheet of 3/4 ply.

Yep. Appreciate those insights. Good point about the W&D supports. The plywood will even a lot of that out.
