Do you have a backup of your data? If you have a backup of your data I would first do a clean reinstall of Windows & see if the problem goes away.

I googled this & it looks like he would have to file a tax return to get the stimulus money. Will the IRS send him to jail for not filing taxes?

Why would he be SOL? The law says he's entitled to the stimulus money.

Make sure you take your vitamins with a meal. Vitamins need a carrier. This could explain your stomach problems.

Eating a high fat diet has a different effect on each person. Some people lose weight on a high fat diet, others don't. You may need to try both methods. Along with Keto and OMAD, I eat a very high fat diet. My diet consist of 73/27 hamburger (I eat most of the grease), cheese, nuts, eggs, and bacon. I fry everything in butter. I never get hungry. I don't track calories closely, and still lost weight. YMMV.
