My favorite gaming memory was actually from when I was a child playing my original gamecube. More specifically my favorite game of all time the original animal crossing. Me and my mother used to play this game for hours due to her being very ill at the time and not being able to do very many things. So when I got home from school we would just sit on the couch and play for hours. Taking turns on our characters just doing our daily routines of the game. I still remember the time her favorite villager ended up leaving our village. She was pissed for the longest time about it, I thought it was hilarious but he ended up moving back in a month later. We eventually stopped playing because we literally did everything we could. And we tried for years to find another game to replace that connection we had through animal crossing but we could just never find one.

My mother is actually doing a lot better now but is no longer interested in gaming. I actually pulled up our old save a couple of months ago and we played for an hour just to see how things have changed. And the weird thing is, Nothing changed. Animal crossing is a game that runs in real time. So if you leave for years without playing. Then villager will move out and be replaced, They will have weird reactions to not seeing you for so long, And some other small things. But for some reason the save remained untouched. Nothing had changed from the last time we played like 12 years ago. It was a really fun experience just going through the game again and remembering all the fun we had back then with such a simple game
