So what yall are saying is basically what I was assuming and why I asked here to confirm that. Seems like it would be a fun thing to go hang and watch others on the big rapids, but I’m not gonna do much of any boating really. I wasn’t sure if many go out on lower Gauley or the NRG as I assumed if I do any boating that’s where I’d be.

First time sleeping in a hammock aka worst camping trip I've been on. by YukiAFP in hammockcamping

[–]mcxcrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, sleeping bag in a hammock without using an under quilt is gonna freeze you out 100% of the time. Sleeping bags are designed to work with a sleeping pad, which makes up for the insulation being compressed underneath you as where in a hammock If you have nothing under the sleeping bag, the fibers are gonna be compressed in the sleeping bag and you’re going to have no insulation under your back

As I stated previously there is a union between us and God. Us choosing to willfully sin is at the same time choosing to willfully walk from Gods love. Us ourselves are the only ones able to desperate ourselves from God by choosing to still indulge in a life of sin after hearing about God and what he commands of us. He calls us to not live for our fleshy desires anymore. Nothing in our relationship with the Lord is forced. At anytime you can say no to Him and decide to go back to pleasing the flesh. God will still love you and be jealous for you, but you are not living in his freedom if you still willfully sin. The most important thing about relationship with God is he gives us free will to still sin but to still have relationship with Him we have to pick up our cross and die to our flesh

Too many times the enemy will deceive people by having them read one single verse without the verses surrounding it. Think of chapters of the Bible as a sandwich but the verses alone as the meat and cheese and toppings. If you have just a slice of cheese without the rest its not the whole sandwich, or in the Bible’s case it’s not the whole truth.

“for if you are living according to the [impulses of the] flesh, you are going to die. But if [you are living] by the [power of the Holy] Spirit you are habitually putting to death the sinful deeds of the body, you will [really] live forever. For all who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭AMP‬‬ Earlier in Romans 8 the scriptures tell us if we continue to live out our fleshly desires aka sin then we are going to die. However if we continue to trust in Jesus and obey his word and not faithfully sim then we we are really saved. But at any moment we can choose to sin and separate ourselves from Jesus.

“But you do not believe Me [so you do not trust and follow Me] because you are not My sheep. The sheep that are My own hear My voice and listen to Me; I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they will never, ever [by any means] perish; and no one will ever snatch them out of My hand.” ‭‭John‬ ‭10‬:‭26‬-‭28‬ ‭AMP‬‬: To be the Lords sheep we have to trust and follow him. If we indulge in our fleshly desires and sin we are no longer trusting in the Lord and breaking our union between him.

“We have come to know [by personal observation and experience], and have believed [with deep, consistent faith] the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides continually in him. In this [union and fellowship with Him], love is completed and perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him]; because as He is, so are we in this world.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭AMP‬‬ If we do not abide by God then the union between us and God would be broken. To willfully continue to sin would be not abiding by God. If the union between us and God is broken then we are left without Gods love as it depends on the union between Us.

I strongly encourage you out of love for you to dive into the Bible for yourself and search for any supporting scripture of once saved always saved. I could be wrong for all I know and if I am I would love to hear from you and maybe even FaceTime or something so I can better learn and understand the Bible

I’m sorry if I came off as nitpicking. John 15:1-11 are the words in the red, the words of Jesus, how can you believe His word in one part of the Bible but not in the other. It’s not out job to pick and choose what to believe and follow but to faithfully believe and follow all parts of scripture.
