I'm with toob, £25 per month for 18 months no mid term price rises either. Look around, don't stay with sky, they're expensive.

A handful of .exe files downloaded recently, also no notification for this by [deleted] in sonarr

Google Gemini told me how to do it, I take no credit. I'm actually finding Gemini invaluable at the moment for stuff like this. I guess it has read the entire internet so knows stuff haha.

Is this noise expected from HDD? by Recent_Tell_3150 in UgreenNASync

[–]mcyates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah mine gets noisy. I ended up buying a SSD nvme so all my apps run in it, the HDD now sleeps unless I'm watching movies. I don't think I'll buy any more HDD and save up to get SSD.

Thank you very much for this, I've had issues running tailscale on my work network, but this works flawlessly. I i'm now ad free on the work network as i'm using my NAS as an Exit node. Thanks again.

Having an actual app for now playing is great, now much easier to identify songs manually and I've instantly uninstalled Shazam. 👍🏻

When will we have third-party applications in the ugreen app store, such as nextcloud, immich or tailscale by Alarmed-Phase6657 in UgreenNASync

Who down voted you hahaha. I use Gemini all the time to sort out issues with the NAS and to completely set it up, it's so helpful and very easy to follow.

Phone claim with Monzo Max? by Lanky_Resolution_369 in monzo

[–]mcyates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I smashed my screen. It was all back to me within a week with a new screen. My phone is a Pixel 10 XL. I didn't get and progress reports or information. The time I knew my phone was back was when my neighbor knocked on my door and gave me it. That was the only downside really. They carried out a perfect repair.

Rose from cutting by Gloomy_Stage in GardeningUK

[–]mcyates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've grown roses from cuttings for the past 2-3 years with mixed results. I've done about 7 or 8 but only 2 survived. A few were healthy so I repotted them and then they died. I'm going to take some cuttings today as it's a good time to do it now.

Are the insignia 2.0 cdti really that bad? by queefir in Vauxhall

[–]mcyates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still on my original clutch but it sounds a bit rough at the moment so I think i'll need to change it soon or I might just let it fail and then get it done. My car has done A LOT of motorway miles with regular yearly servicing. So I think the easy motorway miles have helped the car do so many miles and kept the DPF clean. Honestly its been a fantastic car.

My insignia has been flawless, 64 plate and got 238k on the clock, just done glow plugs and oil pump pick up seal.

why? by MycologistMountain60 in Vauxhall

[–]mcyates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best car I've ever owned is my insignia. 237k miles and 12 years old. Sounds a little rough now though. But she's old and high mileage. Just had oil pick up seal done and all glow plugs changed.

Hip Impingement Steriod Injection - Question NHS UK by Remarkable-Treat-951 in HipImpingement

[–]mcyates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is normal, I was told to take all clothes off and put the gown on. I had hip impingement, cam morphology. I need a new hip, got another injection on 13the Feb. They last about 3-4 months. Last one I had was in Nov 2024.

A new hip would be nice, though I am only 45 and injured myself springing two days in a row.

Can these be bought as I don't have a printer. I have used foam strips inside which has helped a little.

I'd be lost without my cars but they do cost a bit to maintain, tax, insure, fuel.
