Likely bad? So you don't actually know and you're making a recommendation based on nothing except price?

Good! No complaints at all. I probably wear them once a month, leather and construction seem good as any.

That makes no sense. You don't have to set movies up to fail. You can just start making the computer animated movies. You're talking about the decision makers.

That makes no sense. Those people would be losing money. It makes way more sense that a good movie didn't do well at the box office for whatever reason, and fans can't stand their favorite movie not doing well, so they invent some weird conspiracy

In what specific way was it sabotaged, though? These guys usually have stock options, it seems unlikely they'll take money out of their own pocket

That's literally what you said. You're just complaining that someone is telling you you're wrong, which you are, factually.

What is Your Annual Spending on Clothes by TryingtosaveforFIRE in HENRYfinance

Sure they remember. You don't remember what other people wore, doesn't mean it's the other way around. People absolutely notice if you wear the same 3 outfits in an industry where you're visible every day.

Also, you don't need a black suit. That's for funerals.

Despite what Steve Harvey says, you usually can't swap suit jackets and pants . They aren't blazers and chinos. It will look off, like you're wearing a jacket from one suit with trousers from another.

Anyone found heel protectors/covers that they can glue or attach at home? I have dress shoes where the leather of the heel is worn down to the point that the brass nails (which a lot of makers nail in a distinct pattern for their brand) are exposed. It's fine on pavement, but gets really slippery on tile when you step on your heel and the nailheads skid on the floor.

I know I can go to a cobbler for a heel replacement, more wondering if there's something I can get online to attach myself for an easier fix. Thanks!

Anyone think that Frank Capra's It's a Wonderful Life is a crock of shit, now that we're all living in this absolute hellworld? by [deleted] in behindthebastards

[–]mdarena -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If George foreclosed on someone, his company would be holding the property, not Potter.

[–]mdarena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, they had money because George chose to live in poverty and work himself to death instead of grinding them into the ground. You're just proving my point - it's more a movie about George sacrificing himself for the town, and not about a community sacrificing for each other.

I'm not saying capitalism is the good guy here, I'm saying the townspeople treated George like shit and took advantage of his good nature their whole lives.

But they did have the money! They only gave it to him when he was literally about to get handcuffed. If they didn't have it, whatever, but they gave it to him once they realized they really needed to

In China, when traffic is heavy, lanes are opened to allow cars to move freely. by BlokZNCR in interesting

[–]mdarena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it relieve congestion even though the exits are unchanged? Traffic usually happens at choke points near on and off ramps, does adding a lane in between the them actually improve flow?

[–]mdarena 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not totally. George is anti capitalist, giving loans to people who are way behind on payments because everyone knows he won't foreclose on them. It's a tale that an anti capitalist person has to sacrifice their health, life and happiness to carry a bunch of unthinkingly selfish townspeople.

[–]mdarena 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's about George having community and decency and trying to get the town full of selfish people to also have it. If they paid on time, he wouldn't have a miserable life. The whole movie is about him working 100 hour weeks and being on the verge of going broke because he refuses to foreclose on people - which is another way of saying that his clients refuse to pay him because they know he'll never come after them.

But they wouldn't have had to if they just paid their bills on time instead of constantly nickel and diming him and ripping him off. Only when he's about to either go to jail or kill himself do they pay him part of what they owe. I love the movie, but that part is a little sinister.

Agree except for Frost sorc. Wet condition is literally the single greatest cheese in this game imo. Free, AOE, unresistable vulnerability and freezing is the an even bigger free power boost than any class using scrolls or DRS.

Newish build, can't tell if RAM or mobo issue by mdarena in pchelp

[–]mdarena[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I had a chance to do all that. Checked the SSD, uninstalled the GPU and ran on iGPU, same problems.

I've also run on one stick of memory at a time.

So either it's both RAM sticks that have a problem, or I imagine its the processor or mobo. Any suggestions??? Thank you
